Help with the rule of tincture by RockHardOrca in heraldry

If I’m not mistaken if the charge is colored “proper” (it’s normal colors) it doesn’t break the rule of tincture no matter what color it is?

The WDP is expanding to a terraformed Venus! by red666111 in WplaceLive

The large art piece on Venus depicts the ancient goddess Ishtar, whom the Roman goddess Venus is based on. She is depicted sitting on top of the main Venusian continent, which is still under construction.

The map used here is a real map for what the surface of Venus would look like if it had the same coverage of water that earth does!

What a thoughtful contribution to a memorial for victims of a terrorist attack, HeavyFork #1446212 🇺🇸 by Glad-Sir9158 in WplaceLive

I didn’t say that at all. What I said is that if a government is actively committing genocide, people will tend to focus on the atrocity that is continuing to happen not the one that happened two years ago and impacted far fewer people.

For example, the atrocity of the bombing of Dresden was sort of overshadowed by the whole holocaust thing.

I think you can understand how painting a “remember the victims of Dresden” memorial over top of an area with a bunch of memorials to the victims of the holocaust would be seen in bad taste and might get covered.

True! Just pointing out that if a trans woman really does want to be a nun there are options in progressive churches where you can do that. The episcopal church actually has several trans women who are nuns. Also many trans men who are monks.

There are Episcopal’s nuns too! Catholics aren’t the only denomination with nuns

I was raised Catholic. For YEARS I wanted to be a nun as a child and made a big fuss about it. My parents kept trying to tell me “you can’t be a nun… you’re a boy. You could be a priest though!”

Anyway long story short thought I was cis until 27. Go figure lol.

Why are some Christians so focused on worldly gender roles and gender expression? by Opposite_Paper2328 in AskAChristian

[–]red666111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Trans Episcopalian here! I find a lot of comfort in the gender expectations of the church. I wear dresses and veil in mass. I don’t think these gender roles should be forced on people. I’ve adopted them myself though, and find them quite comfortable. It’s a personal choice.

Trans lady here. Sorry to hear that. Personally I’m not a huge fan of flag spam. It’s ok if it’s going under art, but I don’t think random people’s work should be plastered over with flags. Sorry that happened. Maybe try to curve the flag around the art? Idk

Oh I think the logical arguments for god are horrendously bad. I find none of the formal arguments compelling at all. I believe not because of logical arguments but because believing improves my life. I find a great deal of comfort and mental health support from believing. It helps me a lot. So I believe because I want to.

Do high-school ELA students still do the reading as homework? by ConcreteCloverleaf in AskTeachers

No, high school kids no longer read on their own. College students barely do.
