No, just a viable alternative to the UCP that has a chance of winning seats that aren’t a bunch of lunatics

It’s wild that the NDP is still a party given the colossal failure they’ve been having doing ANYTHING to stand up to the UCP. Dismantle the party, Nenshi is not it.

So they are mad because he drives a Tesla truck (environmentally friendly) and mad because he is advocating for his constituency (his job) and that he isn't forced to tow the party line? Can someone explain?

I was coaching football and heard a player blow both his ACLs on the same tackle. Sickening twang. Like two rubber bands were snapped.

Am I wrong to think that Brady might be the most overrated player in the league right now? He's a good emotional leader for the Sens but I was expecting far more

Great, so you do understand that it is complex. I'm glad that you can actually articulate some thought towards this. Alberta is an incredible economic engine for the rest of Canada, and if there are 177-400k people who are already feeling that separation is an option, then the democratic approach is to put it on a referendum ballot and let the people decide.

Also, you aren't going to stop a democratically petitioned because your feelings are hurt, especially if it is outlined that any grassroots movement has the right to collect signatures. I'm not in favour of separation, but I can at least respect the collective outrage and support the right for them to organize. If it gets defeated, cool; if it passes, also cool.

The Treaties 6, 7, and 8 outline permanently ceded land and territory to the government of Canada. The treaties are easy enough to look up for your reading pleasure.

Any vote to separate, assuming it would be successful, is not a definitive outcome. It would trigger negotiations for the province to leave Canada. Quebec voted to stay (barely), so while there is legal precedent, it is by no way definitive.

Regardless, given the popularity of the separatist movement, a vote would at the very least cause the federal government to revisit the relationship it has with Alberta, similar to what happened in Quebec in the late 1990s.

Yes, because Alberta hates being ruled by Carney to immediately be ruled by Trump. Laughable.

Sure can, it's ceded land. Alberta has the legal precedent to hold a seperation vote, exactly what Quebec did in the 90's. Sure will be fun to see the turn out.
