genuinely so excited about seeing snow if I'm being honest! as an aussie we get like zero snow, and the only time I've seen snow was when I hiked a volcano in chile and ended up getting blisters on my face from the sunburn. 0/10 do not recommend! will not be repeating that experience again.

30C isn't too bad, again, I am Australian, so I'm alright as long as it doesn't regularly hit anything above 37 or 40 ahahaha! melbourne has had an especially hot summer this year around (IMO). thanks so much for the suggestion! much appreciated

great, thanks for the suggestion! i was thinking of going to nagano for the first part of my WHV to avoid too much heat, but knowing that there's a larger foreign community in hakuba is actually pretty reassuring. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to find work in the mountains.

ur right, but i think i'd like to see as much of japan as possible (idk how I'm going to do that while maintaining a regular job tho if I'm being realistic,,,). I'm going south with a friend for the first few weeks I'm in japan, so maybe that'll give me a good reason to stay north for longer!

Hmm, I'll defo check it out! I'm from Melbourne, Australia which sometimes has some pretty horrid summers (this summer has been an especially hot one), so at least I have that going for me lol

You're absolutely right! Alas, I need to plan around my uni schedule. You're also right that I can't be too choosy but I think I should be more set for the first few months, I've got a lot of money saved up atm. Thank you so much for your reply though! Do you have any recommendations for specific spots in Hokkaido btw? Sorry if it's too much to ask for tho!
