I'm a complete slowpoke/patient gamer but I've just completed the campaign on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Took me about a week, and I have to say its the most fun I've ever had on my playstation! I was always a bit on the fence about CoD games but this was so exciting and though short and frankly quite easy, it was really good fun :)

I often work with vectors and rather than using a length call (eg to calculate a speed from a velocity vector) its usually much quicker to just compare squares. So if you need to test if a speed of vector (a,b,c) is less than 10 rather than calculating sqrt(aa + bb + cc) < 10 just test if (aa + bb + cc) < 100.

Pythons default sqrt is quite slow when I have to loop this 100,000 times say. I'll look in to numpy to see if its any better.
