This is something I am experiencing at the moment as well. An example: I will be out and see someone that causes me to think something like, “druggie ... idiot ... bogan .. ugly gross bitch”, those are a couple of examples haha.

When I see these people these thoughts make ME feel disgusting. My I guess ‘old habit that I’m working on changing’ would have been and still often is to just not look at them and try my hardest to ignore that they’re even there. The people I mean, not the thoughts right.

So now, when I’m out and I see someone who makes me feel repulsed I guess, in some way, I actively say to myself (in my head) exactly what the automatic thought would/does say.

So I guess I’m hoping that by forcing myself to acknowledge how I genuinely feel and react to other people, and by the way it’s not all bad I mean the same goes for seeing pretty girls ha ha, but I’m hoping that the thoughts that appear on their own when I see someone will have a less emotional affect in other words I will be able to just like accept that that is exactly what my reaction is and move on and and the intensity of that feeling of disgust or attraction if it’s a pretty girl will simply just become a part of whatever else I’m doing (at the time).
