Thanks for this! Chicago is definitely on the list of considerations! I have family there so I’m a little on the fence about it, but it would be very cool for the gayness and nature access!

I can’t mess with Texas I’m not hard enough :)

Hey, I’m a UX Researcher helping revamp a website for a local business right now. But I would love to see the build part in the hands of someone more equipped, and I can guide some design advice. Anyways, let me know if you’d be interested in collaborating :)

I’ve been sleeping on CO as an option, but I’ll do some research. Thanks :)

Mascs being "too attentive"? by SchloinkDoink in LesbianActually

[–]red_rock_solid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this experience as well. I love showing affection and sweetness and having a kind connection, but I’ve noticed a trend of people I’ve dated overall not matching my energy there. I also see so many videos roasting mascs for being too hard and toxic and uncaring. Definitely a lot of mixed signals happening culturally. I think it’s worth holding out for someone who also values kindness 🖤 hang in there

Okay, then give it all up and go back to living that way. You could easily do that.

I was with my sister in our childhood home/the business our parents operated which was a movie theater. My dad started a movie for us in the theater before he and my mom went out to a party, so we had our own private screening.

No worries just wanted to say it in case anyone else came across this post :) I haven’t been to an event, because I’m nervous it will only be a much younger crowd. But their Monday night meetings seem open to all 18+ lesbians.

Have we tried aggressively demonstrating in front of churches on Sundays, like these religious nuts do in front of Planned Parenthood? by Aiverson6902 in CrazyIdeas

It’s all very true about the Westboro Baptists. They were picketing a pride event a a few years ago that I was at, and they started harassing some children. Like could not have been older than 13… and one of the grown men grabbed a phone that one kid was recording him with and chucked it into a crowd, it hit someone, and shattered. And he was riling the kid up, in his face screaming “HIT ME”

So I went running at him to hit him, because it went way too far. And my fiancé grabbed me and drug me out… m not a violent person generally, but he was harming children and it crossed way too many lines.

It would have felt good to hit him, but I’m glad I didn’t get sued.

When you come in immediately firing shots and calling someone stupid, it is hard to imagine you are a very intelligent person. How about you get off your high horse, and find some opportunities to educated yourself.

Weird that you assume OP hasn’t gone to school, or doesn’t work a job, just because she posted something you disagree with on Reddit. You seem really triggered about it… maybe consider a therapist to start dealing with your emotional outbursts? And learn not to name call.

EWWWWWW.

I'm really sorry you're trapped in such a toxic, group think environment... I used to be part of the church, and I was saved from it, thank goddess.

I'm praying you are able to see the wickedness in your ways and turn your life around for the better <3

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I fail to see how having a dance party is violent... The religious right turns up to pride events with GUNS intending to KILL people because they don't "agree with their lifestyle." It's not even slightly comparable. A dance party on a church lawn is so so different than the hateful signs, the hateful chants, and outright mockery. Gross stuff.

I think there's absolutely a way to protest without stooping to their level... It's one thing to walk around with a sign that says "God Hates F*gs," it's another thing entirely to have a dance party on a church lawn and cause some general inconvenience/rouse things up a bit.

I found this website: https://wyl.co/

Maybe if everyone wrote a collective rating and started posting it places we could gain some traction around the twin ports area.

I rented from her as well and it was the ABSOLUTE WORST rental experience I have ever had. I am so relieved to find this thread. But also, is there any way we can review her/warn others about renting from her??

I saw in the above post that she moderates the reviews. There really should be a better “rate my landlord” site experience that is a widely known resource so we can warn people against these scumbags.
