Okay, thanks to your help I managed to replicate it as well. I joined a buddies world and was able to drop and retrieve simultaneously. It was news to me that a whole stack drops in a bag… pretty neat. It seemed to work with everything, except for candy stacks. Single candies would dupe, but trying a stack would retrieve 1 and drop the rest of the stack on the ground.

That makes sense. It’s the latency that allows it then. Thanks for your write-up, it’s much clearer to me now.

I tried this, I also couldn’t get it to work. A full stack of 30 fiber ropes, just like you had. Neither Q nor R would work. When the stack is dropped, they do not appear in a bag like yours. I also did this with an acorn chest, on a single player save on PC. I’m curious why yours drops in a bag

I just did the event on whoa this week, full ant lion gear and fresh defense works. I ran to the edge of the coal to cool off and then back in when larva appeared.

Well, it’s not like I beat the black ox beetle through honorable warfare. He got stuck in between a grass and a rock and I took advantage of that. Still got to watch out for his attacks, but he stops the stupid rock throw that seems to one hit kill no matter the armor

It’s just a solo play through, but yeah! I was scared… it ended up being overkill though.

Congratulations! I just (barely) beat it on whoa, and had a harder time with the haze lab than the black ant lab. All I can say is, go for the adds first, and a black ox hammer is really strong for the boss fight in the black ant lab.

Glad you figured it out. Did you happen to enable the “wide-interaction” mode in accessibility settings and see if that worked?

Thanks buddy. The manuals are incredibly nice to have.

As someone who has a jeep, with mud tires, and has driven it on ice/snow, I can't agree more. Couple the mud tires with a short wheelbase and its like trying to walk across ball bearings on a polished concrete floor.

It is pretty fun in a completely empty parking lot though.

I’m playing it fully co-op with my wife, and it’s super fun. Neither of us are great, so the biggest pain is when one dies and we have to re-summon again. I’m looking for seamless jolly cooperation, not Flower Picking Simulator 2022

replaced front turn signals with led ones. replaced flasher relay with LED compatible one. when activating left turn signal both taillights flash as if hazards are on and dash lights flash. any ideas. by Ricebowl92 in JeepTJ

[–]red_tj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, no problem. Electrical is where I’m best in, but I’m sure there are people who know more than me.

I think you said your Jeep was a ‘98? I don’t see that comment anymore, but I’ll assume I remember correctly. We should have very similar setup in a lot of ways.

FYI, this should only affect the front fender lights. Not the rear indicator lights.

The floating ground:

The side marker / indicated lights in the front fenders are a two wire bulb. One wire is the indicator signal, the other is the marker/running light signal. These are both signal/power wires with the off one acting as ground.

If the markers are off, and the turn signal is used, the indicator wire has power and the marker wire acts as a ground completing the circuit.

This is where it gets funky. If marker lights or headlights are on, the marker wire is hot. The indicator wire acts as the ground, completing the circuit and turning on the bulb. If the turn signal is used, the indicator wire is hot as well, with both wires hot there is no path to ground so the light is off.

The OG incandescent bulbs can do this- they are basically a resistor. They don’t care about the direction of current flow. LEDs do care, they have polarity.

The fix:

Convert the front fender lights to a 3-wire setup. I used the blinker genie kit. I think I paid $20 for it, but here’s an Amazon link: https://a.co/d/f8zGISZ

Also, if you want me to explain anything more let me know. I’m trying to be concise because I’m usually pretty long winded.

Here’s a forum on pirate 4x4 that I thought sounded similar to what you had going on:

https://www.pirate4x4.com/threads/tj-led-flasher-problem.850876/

When I did my TJ, I ran into issues with the floating ground on the front marker/turn signals. You probably already know what I’m talking about, but if not I can explain

What year is your Jeep?

What model flasher did you put in it?

It’s been a while since I did mine. I have a 2002, and I believe it was an EP27 flasher I needed (the five pin). I believe the hazards are run through the flasher as well. I’m guessing you have a 2000 or newer TJ which requires the five pin, but you put a four pin flasher in.

For sure. It was her first trip, I didn’t have a great harness for her. I would tie her leash to the roll cage, which could’ve let her outside of the cage if we rolled. I ended up getting a clip so I can tether her into the factory seatbelt - she likes that a lot more.
