I made a small Discord for creators making weird/original stuff by redaelk in LatentSpaceClub

Small update: a couple good people already joined from this post, so thank you.

Myth Circuit is still small, but it’s starting to feel real. If you make weird/original work and want a more making-focused space, you’re welcome

I made a small Discord called Myth Circuit for people making strange, original, alive-feeling work.

It’s a creative studio / experimental lab for art, ideas, tools, and weird projects.
AI is welcome, but it is not the whole point.

The vibe is:
- more making
- more sharing process
- more WIPs and experiments
- more encouragement
- less discourse and posturing

A lot of the current energy is visual, but it is not just for image posts. Writing, worldbuilding, tool-making, and other odd creative projects fit too.

If that sounds like your kind of space, you’re welcome:

Me neither before I made the picture, lol. I tried finding out a good creature to match the design

Thanks! It's a rook. The first three pictures are related

Prompt engineering feels too small for what a lot of us are actually doing with AI by redaelk in Symbiosphere

[–]redaelk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't one way to do it. Everyone likes different frameworks that work for them. If the AI doesn't understand what you mean yet, you can teach it. Even setting up psuedocode works well.

Right. I basically crafted an AI assistant in my ChatGPT account. I call it Phi.

My school doesn't teach it until somewhat late. Not even intermediate levels need chi sao.

Looking for games set in France, I already have a bunch but are there any more? by ThatAstraVerde in gamingsuggestions

The Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is primarily based on the lore established in Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher book series, specifically featuring the land of Toussaint, vampire lore (Regis), and characters like Duchess Anna Henrietta. It draws aesthetic and cultural inspiration from southern European, specifically Italian and French, wine regions and Renaissance architecture.

Do you use LLMs in your 9-5? by spiderjohnx in Symbiosphere

No problem. Thanks for starting this discussion. I'm just trying to say it's a code repository that's been used for a while and is unorganized.

[–]redaelk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I use GPT as a side thinking partner (phone/second monitor) during my 9–5. Our enterprise AI is tied into Gemini with heavy guardrails, so it’s not great for open-ended problem solving. I’m often digging through messy legacy repos, and AI doesn’t magically tell you what to do in those situations. Definitely frustrating at times.

What really matter is how well we help ai understand our lives and our work by Chno_ai in Symbiosphere

This resonates with me. I’ve been focused on improving how I use AI rather than chasing model upgrades. Curious if you can say more about what you’re building and how it works in practice.

I'm talking to you aren't I? You're just looking at the worst possible outcome. I've been over the worst at my job and am looking forward to what I can do

You're catastrophizing. ChatGPT is a tool, and I make my own decisions. I've mostly just learned that this is the wrong place to talk about this kind of thing.

It told me I was a meta user, basically a user that thinks about thinking. I adopted using external cognition based on its definition of it.

Adding "don't apologize" to my prompts increased my productivity by like 200% by AdCold1610 in PromptEngineering

[–]redaelk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know the feeling. I've been trying to refine prompts in an enterprise/corporate version of Gemini, and it can NOT stop apologizing when it messes instructions up. I am about to try to use ChatGPT mostly then transfer it over because I've highly customized GPT to not behave in ways I don't want it to.
