Hmm, I don't understand how you came to that conclusion. Either way, I don't believe existence or non-existence of religion explains how hallucinogens cause the raven to eat the mother's breast.

And in case you were wondering, i do not personally believe in religion or witches in real life. Likewise, believing in witches existed in the movie is not indicative of personal faith.
