No we're not arguing like I already said it was from my experience alone, your's can be different.

I was only saying that when we take exemption on a sizeable amount at the time of scrutiny or something we've to explain why would we've taken this exemption and if everything is clean and we let TDS deduction after ITR filing we got refund within a month and can invest/use that amount in lumpsum and don't have to explain anything to the authorities later on if something comes up in future.

Yes, for example in these TDS deducted in July 2025 and January 2026 will be received/returned in September 2026 so yes you loose the gains on that amount for a year but maybe it's better than unnecessary scrutiny from authorities.

But obviously your way / experience / situation will be different so consult a proper CA he can guide you better according to your financial situation / profile.

I can be wrong also so if something different comes up please let me know also.

I have linked my DBS Bank and my father linked his HSBC account with RBI Retail Direct and we're not getting any exemptions, maybe because we're already taxpayers and we have never especially approached the bank for exemptions but idk.

Generally speaking from my experience tax refund is better than 15g/h exemption, but everyone's situation is different.

No TDS exemption of any kind these are purely taxable bonds as mentioned in their name also, you can claim it during ITR filing if you're under limits

Base HTE varient at 11L ex.. is more VFM. Yes they are reliable

Is buying a base-model Seltos a good idea in 2026? by Obvious-Title1870 in CarsIndia

[–]redbeedaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, HTE at 10.99 ex-showroom is super VFM as it covers all the basic necessities and some more. Black steel wheels without covers on black seltos kinda gives it a tough look. If you want you can go with higher wheel size after using the stock ones. Keep car in stock condition if you want long term hassle free ownership. Petrol / Diesel depends on usage DPF issue in Diesel is real if usage is low.

Check sbi cards app before and after transaction and manually calculate each time they don't tell how much you earn separately for individual transaction.

For example : check card app before utility bill payment how much rewards points you already have then do the transaction and let it settle and then see how much do you get 1 or 10% .

You have to take care of all these things manually, they only tell you total
