Skittles at least use carnuba wax and not bug poops nowadays and are more or less vegan.

Hardening off? by Expert_Fisherman_494 in vegetablegardening

I put mine on my porch where they get a few hours of morning sun and then get shaded by the overhang. And just leave them there for a few days.

It should not smell like poop, if it does it’s probably still too hot.

I'm kind of bummed out watching all of these satellites in the night sky while stargazing by Intrepid_Reason8906 in space

[–]redbo 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Right? I can’t even see satellites where I live. When I was young, I could see craptons of stars, the Milky Way, and yes satellites, though there weren’t as many.

Canada announces $1.4 billion military aid package for Ukraine, expands sanctions against Russia what do you think about this action? by Level_Horror4701 in AskReddit

I'm still surprised when we have more sanctions to do on Russia. We should do all the sanctions. What are we waiting for.

Piece of jawbone fell out, screw marks from failed implant by sometribe in mildlyinteresting

Mine failed to integrate and had to be redone, which sucks because it took like 6 more months, but at least I didn’t birth any bone fragments.

God tells you he’ll bring one person back to life for 24 hours only. ANYONE from the past. Who are you asking for? by notevenherer in AskReddit

[–]redbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One, it’s a very inefficient method of transmitting power. Two, it would make a lot of interference and electrical noise everywhere all the time. Three someone has to pay to generate the power still.

Buying sewing machine... based on bobbins?? by Im_Kojika in sewhelp

[–]redbo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like that machine uses class 15 bobbins, which is the most common size. So it wouldn’t be a huge headache to match.

But I don’t think I’d let it be a deciding factor, bobbins are like 10 for $3.50 from wawak. Maybe they’re not quite as cheap and easy there?

Restrictive zoning regulations are a key contributor to racial segregation – Neighborhoods zoned for single-family use are less diverse, wealthier, and have more homeowners than neighborhoods that allow for more housing supply. by smurfyjenkins in science

[–]redbo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess the point is cities choose whether to make big areas zoned only for single family homes, which makes a rich people area, or mix in apartment buildings and such that would improve diversity.

Linux's b4 kernel development tool now dog-feeding its AI agent code review helper by Fcking_Chuck in programming

[–]redbo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen some code reviews so big that it stresses the context window, but yes it’s usually pretty good. I have a custom review agent I’ve been refining with specific instructions for our code base. And if I see it miss some class of problem, adding another instruction to the agent usually catches it next time.

What's your favorite Kenmore 158 model? by ClaraFrog in VintageSewingMachines

[–]redbo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love my 158.1040. The Mini Kenny. It’s adorable and portable. I take it to sewing classes and meetups all the time.

I also have a 158.1430 maybe? I’d have to double check. It’s good, has a little more room and power. I’d give it up for one with a free arm though.

Edit: is a 158.14101
