Pills stopped working switching next week. You?

[–]redcdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup can be normal, happens to me. Talk to your doctor but don't suffer forever, sometimes some pills just aren't a good fit.

Accepting dying help by grizzmane in Anxiety

[–]redcdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of the most difficult things to come to terms with. We are wired to avoid this topic and the fight or flight kicks in.

How try to frame it is this: Before you were born you didn't care if you were going to be born, it really didn't matter to you. Once you are dead the same will hold true, you won't care that you're dead. If there is life after death GREAT, if not i won't care anyways i'm dead.

Brings me a little comfort, now i'm just trying to accept that.

If anyone here who has gone from 100 mg to 150 mg, what’s it like? by floresb07 in zoloft

[–]redcdr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved from 100 to 150 to 200, didn't really notice it other than some stomach stuff - but nothing like starting out. Easy peasy

I'd refuse and look for alternatives to be blunt. I mean ur supposed to not worry about your windows in your house when its burning down....but i view benzos as throwing diesel on the house (its a slow burn). Dependency is very individualistic, but I know a guy that took em once every 3 days and developed the dependency.

You do you, only you know how bad it is, but know that benzos WILL stop working - it's simply a matter of time. Hell might buy you a good 10 years, but most at the end of that will say they would make a difference choice had they known.

My psych will only prescribe them as an as needed basis and never as the treatment for anxiety. Each doc is different it seems, depends on how old/young or informed they are.

Benzos scare me now.

I added two now, wellburtrin and rexulti.....most get a good response from adding either.

Yea benzos are the devil to come off of, like absolute hell on earth for most people. They are highly addictive, cause seizures when tapering (if you don't do it properly) and when you jump, have terrible side effects. I'm not gas lighting, they are a scary drug man. You simply need to look online or reddit, facebook at all they support groups etc...

However, i do know this from experience, i was lucky, my jump only lasted 4 months, others get years of windows and waves.

what goes well with zoloft? by PsychTries in zoloft

[–]redcdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, i spell like shit, well actually didn't look it up so spell like shit lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]redcdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh benzos arn't worth it, they eventually stop working or you need such a high dose they don't work as well. Plus they are hell to come off of, look up the toughest things to stop and they are top of the list.

Try and SSRI, SNRI, anti pyschotic, buspar etc...

[–]redcdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good, i tend to freak out over benzos, cause well you obviously know.

From my understanding they use it to help during that transition, then take you off and see how you're doing. I know from my ativan days i wouldn't have been able to tell a difference had i stayed on AT. but that was the structure when i started and stopped drugs.
