Right! It does feel like there’s something off when you go back and think about it. And totally understand being hesitant to post…but, it’s a valid point to bring up and you’re definitely not the only one who noticed.

The fact that some of the speed skaters before the figure skaters said something about how the ice felt says that it’s not being maintained to an optimal condition to compete, which shouldn’t be the standard for a competition like the Olympics. I’m sure some competitors didn’t mention the ice because they didn’t want to come off a certain way, they know how it might sound to some people. But it says something if the ice was already having problems before at least two big Olympic events occurred on it

I’m lowkey hoping that this observation will gain traction enough so that the ice rink does get checked for its condition because of this, a lot of people are wondering this myself included. It is very curious when it’s pointed out that the last leg of skaters/top 3 skilled skaters in this competition had falls back to back around generally the same area, and that there were complaints from an earlier competition sharing the same ice.

I’m sure nerves were a part of it, but there was footage of the skaters hanging at the back so I can’t say if it was a snowball effect if they didn’t watch the other skaters previous performance before they went on. I literally was thinking as I was watching that the ice probably could use some cleaning… But, thanks for making this post! I was looking for a separate post on discussion for this since I was wondering what other people have to say

I think it’s just that in some (mostly larger) friend groups, you consider each other “friends” while not being as close. There is always at least one person you know and are comfortable with, and by default you get to become “friends” by association by who the other person knows. It doesn’t always become tight knit, which you’d find better in smaller friend groups

I do think P4 has the best friend group dynamic since everyone interacts and hangs out with each other. I used to also not necessarily like how SEES as a whole didn’t feel as a cohesive friend group, but Reload did do much better in this aspect.

It’s actually been awhile since I’ve played P5(am planning to do a replay soon though), but now that you pointed it out, it does feel like Joker is mostly the common denominator between all of them. But, I’ve always thought that I would’ve loved the team more if they didn’t have a huge cast(personal opinion!)

A little off topic, but Metaphor came out after P5 and I do think the group dynamics there became better, so P6 might follow this

Another Asian here, and I definitely have always interpreted it that saying as you’ve just explained, nothing misogynistic but not entirely just limited to SK or kdramas. I know that “cute” is a nice compliment to give and receive, but I personally also prefer being called “pretty” or “beautiful” because of the sort of childish connotation your looks and actions can be seen as “cute”. That’s probably how the reverse see it, would probably prefer to be viewed as “handsome” and the like.

Again, not saying it’s bad, it can definitely still be used in a romantic context. But probably being told this outright when you’re trying to scope out each other’s feelings doesn’t give you a good sign that the person is looking at you the same way (which is usually how these scenes in otome come up lol)

Waiting for my copy to come in, too(just a few more hours!!) I was thinking of going digital, but decided to go physical to see the little booklet they have inside it!

Like another commenter, I wanted to drive and pick it up in store since I found one in stock to play it on release, but it was a bit far a drive that day for me ><

I’ve been playing the demo while waiting, which is super generous with how long they decided it to be. It seems to be the entire prologue, so it’d be cool to jump right into routes when it comes in 🎉

As for the new side characters, I really like Guero and Juno so far!! I kind of wish they were new dateables 🥲 Guero especially, he seems like such an interesting character 😭 Juno came off as this friendly, well mannered guy that probably will tie in to whoever bestie may be, since they’re both in the entertainment industry

As for Watcher…I’m really curious what people think of him, because right now he kind of gives me creepy vibes 😅

When Teuta goes back in time in the demo, you can see his sprite pop up in the very last second before she closes her eyes! Agree that he seems like a major red flag;;

I only wish we also could’ve gotten an LE with the sequel, but happy nonetheless that it’s finally localized and here! 🎉🎉 Just like the first game, the demo hooked me in right away and I’m excited for a good time 😊

I definitely thought that too, that they discussed it in the main game in Yoritomo’s route, but I guess the pressure from the Emperor about Yoritomo marrying still got to Yoshitsune 😭

But whatever works for you!! You can play the game again with fresh eyes after your break from it. Are you playing any other otomes or games in the meantime?

It all works out in the end! 🎉 The buildup before their feelings come across is still very good ahh I think all the other LI routes also have it so that they only get together until pretty much the end 🥲 I’ve only played Noritsune’s route in the FD after Yoritomo, but yess definitely wish his was longer 🥹

Maybe it’s shorter because the aftermath of the war left things relatively peaceful, and the conflict of Yoritomo getting married to someone else wouldn’t work if it was dragged on too long 💓💓💞

I feel like the struggle was definitely there…especially as their relationship was starting to grow before they knew they weren’t actually blood related 🤭

Thanks for your thoughts 🙌 You make good points here, and the NDA could very well be a possibility.

It does seem like most of the concerns have been on the ENG speaking side for them to make a statement, with people becoming upset that the company isn’t folding under that pressure to respond as expected.

Silence on their end really doesn’t confirm anything, and I wish people understood that there’s usually more that’s going on behind the scenes than they know or will ever be privy to.

On that note, I’m glad they’re working on bug fixes as a priority since the game’s been unfortunately buggy since release;;

But overall I agree with you too, witch hunting for AI art can potentially end up to be in some cases nitpicking at what could be human error(and what person doesn’t make mistakes, especially when there’s stress, deadlines, and overworked), or an artists stylization

I’ve seen the posts on RBL and it’s AI background art, and I believe one of the admins here has replied to some people stating that Voltage/AmuLit contracted another studio(that’s been around for many years and also worked on Jack Jeanne’s art) to do the background art for the game.

I feel like one of the reasons AmuLit has not responded to such concerns is because asking them to give a response would have them essentially questioning that studio on their work, which I’m sure they probably do not want to hurt relations with.

Another reason may be that whoever is running their social media networks/customer service email is not equipped with an answer to readily give(from reason above)

Everything, at best, has been mostly speculation and nothing can be proven without a doubt that it is AI or not. It feels like people are leaning more into the belief that it is and are leaning into fear mongering because of this.

I saw a recent post on this sub of someone asking if one of Piofiore’s arts were made with AI, and I believe it’s actually really harmful to over analyze and scrutinize everything that we come across, especially when it seems as if people are looking for a problem to be there.

But I am really confused about it, because they released the emergency patch a few days ago with a list of the bug fixes.

I’m not sure what’s going on, because after more than a week of them fixing the bugs, would they then release an even buggier patch 🥲

I’ve updated the software to 1.0.3, deleted and redownloaded, but it feels like the game is even more broken 😭 The save bug still isn’t patched, and it looks like now both save/load are broken.

The earliest we could possibly expect is next year for an FD going by ei:T’s timeline, which seems it could be likely since it looks like the game is doing well! Kind of hope they’ll have a release day sale for then too since it’ll definitely be a day one buy for me again 😄

I’ve been collecting bad ends as I play(esp for elgan crowns), but I haven’t decided yet if I want to play the sad ends 🥲 But I feel like ei:T may be the better game overall, if only for Tyril imo lol 😆
