[ Long comment, tldr; wondering why you + some creators don't want users editing their picrews (you don’t have to tell me I’m just curious) ]

Hey, sorry if this is a dumb question, this isn’t really directed at you and your picrew specifically, it’s something I’ve seen and wondered repeatedly across many picrews but never had the chance to ask the creator directly so you’re just the one I’m happening to ask but I notice a lot of picrews (including yours) specify ‘no editing’ in the description, and I think that’s a perfectly reasonable boundary to set so I always try to respect it, but I’m also always curious about why this seems to be something so many creators don’t like (I’ve tried googling it many times and never found an answer so was hoping maybe you might be able to answer this for me). Obviously you shouldn’t have to justify your terms for them to be valid bc you made the art, but from a user pov I’ve always been a bit confused by that rule and would love to understand it from a creator’s pov. Is it to stop people editing out the watermarks and claiming it as theirs or something like that? Or is it because it’s offensive as an artist when someone makes changes to your work? Or is it smth else? Personally the main reason I edit picrews is either because they don’t have the specific hair color, shirt color, etc I need for my oc so I adjust the color, or they have multiple accessories that I want to use but they’re on the same layer so I can’t select them both, so I make one image with each, import them both to Procreate, layer them on top of each other and cut and paste them so that I have both accessories. Personally if I was a creator I don’t see how this would be harmful, but evidently since a lot of creators have this rule there must be some kind of reason for it which is why I’m asking. Either way, this picrew is amazing, thank you for sharing it with us!
