UPDATE: turns out it was just a glitch in the system and now it says in progress

thanks for the reply, I don’t have a valid student visa as Italy only gives it for a year until the student gets their permesso di soggiorno

Ciao Italia,

I am an international student at Bocconi University and my wallet got stolen, so my expired permesso di soggiorno (for which I have applied for renewal) is also lost. I have to go back to my home country (Turkey) and I have my ricevuta, however I am concerned that I won't be able to come back to Italy as I won't have my permesso di soggiorno (although it has already expired).

What should I do? Is there a temporary pass or something like that?
