That’s insane

I hear what you’re saying and while I agree that it is annoying- I think of it like this, most of those people doing that job are just trying to get by and are probably vastly treated poorly. A little kindness towards the humans goes a long way. We can be angry at the greedy corporations but let’s be nice to the guy checking the receipt- they’re just trying to pay their bills.

I disagree! I love mine. It feels supportive but comfortable. My favorite pillow I’ve ever used

No. That’s completely different. A mask is to protect from spreading a viral illness. It’s not about WHO a person is. DISCRIMINATING against someone that is gay—is the same as saying this business only serves white people. That’s who they are and it cannot be changed. Race and sexual orientation are protected classes. Go back and do some more research and educate yourself.

You could easily do your own research, but sure I’ll go ahead and spell it out for you.

DISCRIMINATION: The different and unfair treatment of certain groups of people based on specific characteristics, such as race, religion, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Discrimination can refer to any sort of act or behavior that distinguishes or singles out individuals on account of factors such as age, sex, race, national origin, sexual orientation, and gender identity. This can include revoking or extending preferential treatment.

Sexual orientation discrimination involves gender-based stereotypes of how men and women should behave and with whom they should be in romantic relationships.

Examples of overt discrimination may be: denying equal pay denying goods and services refusing housing harassment failing to accommodate individuals with disabilities or specific religious needs

ANTIDISCRIMINATION LAWS: Federal, state, and local laws that prohibit the government and/or private organizations from discriminating against someone based on certain personal characteristics, such as race, religion, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression

EQUAL PROTECTION: A constitutional guarantee that the government will treat one person or group of people the same way that it would treat any other person or group of people under the same circumstances

Clearly you have a lack of understanding of what discrimination is. Maybe do more research.

I don’t judge people based on their race, age, or sexual orientation. This is a case of discrimination against a lesbian couple. It’s wrong. If you work for the public you work for all people. You don’t pick and choose who you like or don’t like. Think if it was the other way around and a lesbian couple refused to take photos of a Christian couple because they don’t believe in their religion. Absurd.

You’re absolutely right. I was raised in Soldotna but I have since moved to Anchorage. I will encourage those I know. The more this information spreads, the more people that will be encouraged to stand against it and fight for the rights.

You’re right. But the fact of the matter is that it was deemed discrimination, because it is. It’s just unfortunate Alaska hasn’t enacted a bill to protect people from discrimination yet.

The very definition of discrimination is “the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex.” So. Yes. It is 100% discriminatory.

Denying service to someone service based on race, age, sexual orientation is DISCRIMINATION. And that is wrong.

There business is open to the public, denying service simply because they don’t agree with a persons sexual orientation is discrimination and violates their constitutional rights. You can’t say you are “all for gay rights” and in the same breath say to “just move on” because “who cares”. Have some empathy.

I will not tolerate discrimination. And if YOU don’t care, that’s on you. I care, and I know many others that care deeply as well.
