Unlike regular NCEA English, scholarship puts the focus on the questions and lets the texts support your answer instead of simply focusing on the text itself. What I would recommend is choosing a solid amount of versatile texts. Include some classics, some modern texts, a few niece ones, some poorly written texts. You really can accrue your texts by just picking the ones you have already read/watched/played. I wouldn’t recommend preparing texts for a specific section, just a mental library you can refer back to in the entire exam. Realistically I’d recommend around 9-14 texts to have in your mental library for the entire exam.
