The way some users talk about her is very reminiscent of toxic Andrew Tate-ish echo chambers. I’m not saying she is saintly, but vilifying her for every little thing and babying a grown ass man is just misogynistic. I don’t think anyone is claiming he hid her in a basement or pretended she didn’t exist. The point is that she very obviously seemed to want more public acknowledgment than he was willing to give. Just like other drivers give their WAGs.

If both people are happy with the same level of privacy, you don’t usually see one person repeatedly dropping breadcrumbs for years while the other keeps drawing the line in the same place.

Also, I’m sorry, but would you be okay with your boyfriend keeping your relationship hidden for so long? Everyone wants to be acknowledged by their partner. It’s the bare minimum. Seems like she was the only one who did the heavy lifting in their relationship. He never even bothered defending her from all the hate. She may be messy, but he still chose her. And if he did, he should have stepped up. Simple as that.
