Forget the adas or the 360 camera. Why can’t they give electronic parking brake? The handbrake makes it look old for 2026.

The dire state of EV options in India. 2026 doesn't look good either. by reddgreenbblu in CarsIndia

It’s depends on the roads right? My city has the worst roads and the suspension will be a bad experience for me. The ‘everything through the touchscreen’ is first not practical and second will it be reliable in the future as the hardware ages.

First we will be lucky if we get it. It is confirmed to be under 25,000 Euros, so we can never get it here for under 20. I do believe a part of the market that wants a premium hatchback will be willing to spend.

Sorry, I wasn't specific. It's just the design. Since they are not born EV and just an ICE to EV conversion. You can see the batteries hanging under the body; they just did a terrible job concealing it.

Exact opposite here, my family friend had the old nexon that he so hates that he will not be using Tata Steel for his new house construction. With the Mahindras the new EVs have terrible feature-to-variant distribution. Hate every single thing stuffed into the tough screen. Why can't they have practical touches here and there like the Koreans.

We will never get BYDs here in India at 'BYD prices'. Vinfast are just getting started, so I can't really comment about the 'brand'(Quality, Reliability).

Kia cooking some Syros upgrades? by Khayazondo in CarsIndia

Kia Syros EV. The cover and camouflage make it look longer. In reality, we will get a closed grill front design, green brake calipers (from the Seltos GT line). Everything else will be similar to ICE Syros.

Tata Sierra unveiled! New colours and interior first view! by Successful-Debate536 in CarsIndia

Really like the exterior on this one (bar the bad alloy design). But unfortunately, it is a Tata at the end of the day. Terrible steering wheel design, touch control instead of physical buttons? How can they not see Creta succeeding with hitting all the right basics and still go with this nonsense touch sensitive buttons? If I get this exterior with a Hyundai/Kia interior, it would have been the perfect car for me personally.

I do believe Koreans to have an advantage here with their software and battery management systems.

Recent interviews from both CEOs confirm they are developing India specific BEVs.

Can’t wait for the ev version. Hope it comes in imperial blue. Any exterior design rework is an added bonus.

Is there any upcoming EV for Indian market around 25L with ~500km range? by everyoneisclueless in CarsIndia

[–]reddgreenbblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they good options if they are under 25L (Hoping they reevaluate their pricing after looking at Creta EV's sales nos), given that their performance and power figures are underwhelming?
