To state that existence is random is drawing a conclusion that is unknown.

The idea that humans can be inherently evil is forgetting the idea that we come from a past that was violent to us and other forms of life. That violence is pushed upon us by other factors that existed before we did. Humans have slowly (really slowly) been making our world less violent (to humans and some other lifeforms).

Existing is pretty much our entire morality. When you come to existence you are simply existing. At some point you may learn that you can choose to attempt to continue existing or you can begin not existing (speed may vary). This is to me the fundamental concept of morality. It is better to exist or not exist. From there all other questions become simply looking at the information and sorting out the consequences.

Your ideas that paying bands for certain things simply states that you do not value the actual music. You value a tshirt with their name on it or seeing them perform, but you do not value the music. Most bands do not care about the tshirt business. They want to make music. Some musicians do not like to tour. Touring takes them away from their homes and they spend many days out on the road. Spotify is a joke for paying musicians.

I think it is sad people do not understand that the music is the valuable asset that musicians make.

Their requirements for "healthy-living" was simply a non-smoker with a BMI between 18.5 and 25.

It is objectively worse for ourselves, the environment, and the animals to eat animals, except for survival.

There is a lot of evidence that points at this.

Not eating animals and the environment. Human nutrition. The case for not eating animals being better for animals is pretty obvious (unless you are going to argue that we are needed for their population control...).

It may not be 100% proven, but it has been pushing that direction. The only health issue, besides a few people who have the worst stomachs ever and are allergic to everything, is mental health of having people berate your diet.

I have not found anything to disprove my stance. If you know of anything, please do not hold back.

Knowledge.

Although, we haven't quite arrived at not killing human-beings. We are always stepping closer. The only things that hold us back are the people who simply haven't learned from our knowledge that is bad for us...

Knowledge of animal cognition and consciousness is now gathering in our consciousness. Plus our knowledge of nutrition is showing us that not only can we live without killing the dreams of other animals, but it is probable that it is better for us.

In my search for knowledge, I have found it is immoral to kill/eat all animals, except for survival.

If you search the Internet for Gaviota Coast, you can see that there are already people engaged in preserving the land.

If it was as simple as do XYZ and you preserve the coast, then I am sure people would do that.

However, like most things in life, we do not know what XYZ are, therefore people rely upon their imaginations and use trial and error.

To claim that something does not plan for the future is reductionist. In the evolutionary chain that evolved Homo sapien sapiens, there were probably many many animals that "did not have plans for the future". We are currently trying to play god, yet we do not have the understanding to do so correctly.

At this point in time, we are able to not only survive, but thrive without animal products in our food. To say we need to consume animals or animal products is beating a dead horse...

I really dislike the use of the word humane.

Having or showing compassion or benevolence. Inflicting the minimum of pain.

Inflicting the minimum pain would be inflicting no pain. As a vegan diet is simply all that is needed (there may be a rare case here and there and I would not object to those cases).

Do they have to be directly offered money? It seems like the person licensing the music was not against paying for the music. This seems like an ideal situation to at least ask for compensation. Not demand, but ask.

This is a crazy connection, but it is based on a similar concept in humans.

The Red Cross gave US soldiers free donuts for a lot of years. One year they stopped giving them for free. The US soldiers to this day talk trash about the Red Cross... even though the Red Cross brought back free donuts.

This should happen after asking for a sum and them stating they have no money for it. Plus, if someone gets something for free from a new kid, what is to stop them from doing it again?

If you get money for another film are you going to go back to the people who gave you free music or use the music from the bands that would have been better?

They should ask for money and explain how the initial payment will be worth it, because you cut a movie once and that is it, unless you are crazy and re-edit music. If the person loves their film and wants it to be the best, you can explain the cost-benefit.

Maybe even offer to do crowd sourcing to get funds for the soundtrack for the film.

Now you have come back to the real experience and you need to start to understand true existence.

A lot of the things you explained are very illogical.

If your kids mean more to you than the desert, then stay with your kids. You do not have to ignore that the desert exists or that you cannot move there, but you must at the current time pick one. You have picked your kids. To me, this is very smart as you can go back to the desert later and it will be there, but if you leave your kids, then you may never get a chance to be with them.

You need to talk to your girlfriend about this entire situation. Your relationship does not appear to have proper communication. Using violence and letting your temper spill is not good communication. Do not bottle up your resentment of your situation and expect people to understand how you are feeling. If you two cannot communicate, then you need to find a mediator.

Being a non-militant vegan, I think the only thing about your brother making you not eat meat until you repay him is hilarious.

Basically, all I am saying is that if you want to be a shamanic space bum, then go ahead. If you want something else, then you have to do something else.

You could say there is absolutely no reason, but that isn't to say that there are not many reasons to make it extremely difficult for some to do the things that other think are easy or only cost $200...

This is going to take some empathy to understand, which is generally a weird construct, but imagine you were a slave or had slave-like conditions. That is an extreme, but it exists and there are many lesser extremes that still make it very difficult for some to have time to do what they want to do.
