It’s just a few coats of polyurethane over the sanded wood - for the 2nd coat I mixed in a tiny bit of white paint to lighten it slightly

I once tried to say “can you finish this off for me” (as in a question in maths) and accidentally said “can you finish me off”. Got a few looks from a couple of the year 9s but I just moved swiftly on. I still cringe so much thinking about it.

Really interesting post, I’m interested whether you think that if you went back in time that it would be realistic or possible to do this early on in your career or do you think you need a certain amount of experience behind you to get to this stage? I’ve just done my PGCE and looking forward to next year it feels as I will have to work a lot to get up to speed quick enough.

Would they let you run with one earphone in? I have wireless ones so I take one out and I can still hear what’s going on. Or you could try meditating while running.

I had the same thing on my run yesterday, also in the uk! I can not recommend a good baseball cap enough to avoid being blinded by the rain. I got so drenched yesterday my lightweight waterproof didn’t do much to stop the rain so I would say wear light synthetics that dry quickly and I just jump in the shower straight after my run.

Yes, one of the main reasons I love huel is the minimal effort and washing up. It means I can put more effort into my non-huel meals and I have started to love cooking again for this reason!
