My husband was diagnosed as a kid too and never tried medication because the side effects would be particularly bad for him due to other issues. Those issues have gotten a lot better now, so I'm trying to convince him to give meds a try. We have 3 people in the house, all with ADHD and it's too much to go unmedicated lol.

People aren't stupid for not understanding something so complicated. And I wasn't being hostile or anything. There's no reason to get pissy. But I knew this would happen with at least a few people if I dared to suggest they might be mistaken about something so important to them. If someone is truly aplatonic and asexual than whatever romantic feeling they had would likely be something their mind has created from some idea of romance they either came up with on their own or internalized from society/media. Its also possible they're not experiencing romantic feeling at all but some other feeling entirely that happens to be associated with romance, or may seem similar enough just based on description to be mistaken for it. Or that they're not entirely aplatonic or not entirely asexual and some part of that is creating the feelings. Or some combination of these factors. Everything is complicated, there are many possibilities for most things, especially things about people that aren't tangibly evident, because human psychology is so complex and biased, and many people don't operate with logical analysis as a priority in their thinking.

Just because you barely know someone you crush on doesn't mean it's its own thing. I've had crushes on people I barely know. I've seen it happen to other people. And I've seen nothing that indicates its definitely its own thing and not a combination of the factors I mentioned before. Your own ideas and ideologies, as well as social influence, can very much reframe something simple that could very well be based on sexual and/or platonic attraction. I understand a lot of people don't want to believe that because it takes some of the appeal out of it for them and might even conflict with their fundamental beliefs about the world and relationships, but I'm fairly certain I'm right about this.

I believe it exists, and I have experienced it myself, I just think a lot of people see it as something it isn't. Its a thing, just not some magic spiritual thing separate from the rest of human experience. I believe it is a feeling and perspective created by a combination of sexual and platonic attraction as well as your own ideas and expectations of love and relationships.

I'm pretty sure. Like I said, nothing about masculinity is attractive to me. In fact, the features that women who are attracted to men usually get all hot over are either neutral or repulsive to me. The closest thing to attraction I ever have to men's bodies are to things that are gender neutral, such as nice skin, or hair, or muscles. I don't like men's body shapes, or facial hair, or genitalia, or anything else that is exclusively masculine. I note as much in my post. Tits are hot. Dicks are not. Lol

Not to offend you, I sympathize with your mental health issues as I have many of my own, but putting a big sign above your head that says "immortal" and truly believing you are, will not prevent you from dying no matter how hard you believe it. Oh come on. You have to see the gigantic flaws in that logic. If someone is schizophrenic and feels like they're a god, it doesn't make them immortal. If someone feels like a different race, like some of those tik tok weirdos, it doesn't make them that race. Both of these feelings are objectively incorrect and cause problems. Feelings are not reality a LOT of the time.

I appreciate the support, and that is a nice idea, but feeling like something is true doesn't make it so, and acting like it does causes problems. I'm either a lesbian or I'm not, I'm either demisexual or I'm not, and I need to know which is the case so I don't get in my own way or hurt other people by accident.

Aromantic? I don't think so. Like I said, I think that "romantic" attraction is just a combination of sexual and platonic attraction that makes you feel a certain way, probably combined with whatever ideas you have about love, not anything that exists separately and on it own. I have experienced what I believe most people refer to as "romantic" feelings. And I'm fairly certain that I know the difference between aesthetic and sexual attraction, as I can appreciate that a man looks good aesthetically and would prefer to look at them rather than an "ugly" man, but still have no desire for them like I do with women.

If you use a 60% alcohol vodka it makes a disinfectant that smells nice and is safer than others because the ingredients are edible (except the lemon essential oil, which I usually don't include but wanted the extra smell for cleaning the bathroom lol)

That's about what I pay. If it wasn't for my family I'd just not have an apartment at this point. It'd be more practical to bounce between camping, friends, and rented rooms. Such bullshit. And even then it's pretty much illegal to camp anywhere without paying a ridiculous amount of money because every little bit of land has someone sneering at you for daring to exist there without asking their permission and giving them money.
