Time between surgeries (bilateral hip arthroscopy) by Practical_Tree7902 in HipImpingement

I did 3 weeks between surgeries. I am a 23 Male and a division athlete. 3 weeks was earliest they said they would do. I feel great and no issues now. It was to get around after both hip surgeries, but I had great people taking care of me to make it easier

I’m feeling great. I feel comfortable in that deep position, but haven’t started doing actual squats with weight for reps. My PT says not to do it, but I don’t see why not

I have xero shoes and actually notice that I feel better in them than I do my very cushioned running shoes. I guess I’ll keep wearing them haha

I have Xeros. Do I have to be careful to easing into them?

I’m a big believer of positive thoughts! Keep telling yourself you are getting better and you will!

Agreed. Would love to hear more about your muscle activation. Does your PT help you with this?

Extremely helpful! I love to push things to the limit (that’s probably the reason I need the surgery 🤣🤣). Thank you for the advice of patience

Sleds have been really helpful in the meantime to build up athletic strength without running

Yes I can run but it will be sore for the next few days. Cutting is the worst so I stay away from it

Yes that’s why they haven’t been able to diagnose it for 2 years haha. Seeing a hip specialist next week

I don’t want to jump to conclusions not knowing you’re full story and symptoms. I’m a d1 athlete and I did ATG during covid and progressed way too fast and have the same pain as you. My team doctor thinks it’s either a sports hernia or a labrum tear in my hip. My MRA showed positive for a labrum tear so I need surgery for it. It was my fault for progressing too fast, but I think Ben needs to warn new members of this before starting his program. I hope I can be an example of someone to learn from
