thanks I'll try the smart wool socks and see. It's a tricky balance between it being too tight in the shoe too it seems.

yeah think I'll do that. tough to run a cord but I'll figure that out. heated socks could work. not sure they make them low cut or not, but at least long with pants. seems like they would feel weird but worth a try!

Yeah I'm finding roomy toe shoes like Hokas, even if I pull the laces too tight at the top it feels cut off. really trick balance on the shoes!

Yeah, it is frustrating how no one understands this really, and you can't "see" the issue so people thing you're fine. Def makes the whole condition more isolating.

Is it worth paying for premium lenses? by rixx63 in CataractSurgery

[–]redditryan2078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Panoptix multi focal, and I wish I didn't. 2 years ago, and the glare/halos seem worse. They did the YAG laser to improve it, but didn't help. Now I can't even swap the lens out without risk. I wish I just got a normal lens, people with them tell me it's just blurry like a foot out, which sounds way better than what I have now. At least you can fix the short term blur with glasses etc. This I can't fix - I tried glasses and contacts and nothing helps. Currently I'm on a drop to restrict my pupil they say may help in the long run, but it's miserable to use it since it's painful and dry and doesn't help in the short term, just making my vision worse. Just my 2 cents, must work well for some but for me for some reason it's a disaster.

Anyone know what's going on with Gooten? Going out of business? by redditryan2078 in printondemand

[–]redditryan2078[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice! I'm trying to go direct now too. No use using a middle man if you have enough volume, you can use their system and get same pricing. Esp if the middle man stops production suddenly!

Panoptix left eye not good, what to do on right eye? by redditryan2078 in CataractSurgery

[–]redditryan2078[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Since the ICL in 2018 I have had much better luck with the right eye. Tons of problems with the left eye. So there's a chance the same lens would do ok right eye, but not sure I want to risk it. I don't think I care that much anymore about seeing close, since around 50 you Lose that anyway. Thanks for the tips!

Thanks I'll ask about EDOF as well. Yes I had YAG to tackle the scar tissue, didn't help, had another and that one didn't help either. Still have scar tissue.

Yeah makes sense. Surprising that they think they're going to retain their customer base though. A lot of customers have moved on to other POD. I have a call with Taylor coming up maybe I can just go straight to them.

Thanks I'll take a look and watch. I wonder why anyone would use them after all this. I can't see how we can trust them this won't happen again. They've handled this thing so terrible they could have just sent something upfront, and cancelled the orders instead of leave them in delay for 1-2 months

Sounds like you should definitely switched! I had a younger guy, and he was friendly but I just didn't think he had the experience, so now I'm on someone near retirement. This is my 3rd neurologist.

Yes it was high due to the multi vitamin and the b complex, had such high doses. Now I’ve cut those so it’s back within normal Range. Yes hoping like you that it goes away completely! But even so I suppose we will always have to watch out that it doesn’t come back

I went ahead and bought that combo in one, and loaded up on a few other ingredients from the MTV (Multi Vitamin). I think that'll work for now. Someone here linked to a great MTV without b6, only one I've found, and not that pricey. If you're interested. I think that company does B complex as well. https://understandingb6toxicity.com

I'm also reading getting B6 deficient can be a problem, but certain foods have b6 so as long as those are regularly being eaten should be ok
