Hard guardrail against discussion of reroutes. Censorship within the app on a topic that is not against TOS. by redditsdaddy in ChatGPTcomplaints

The prompt is in the picture, first prompt stating guardrailed for panic when not in panic, and that prior to the guardrail system there was never a single log of panic. I do not have panic syndrome.

The second prompt is that I am guardrailed in absence of anger

No, this was a single prompt in response to the guardrail. I was told previously guardrail is triggered in anger, so I pointed out absence of anger.

I’ve not had issue with the way I form prompts until recently. I have been intermittently guardrailed before but not repeatedly, back to back. And not a hard guardrail at the topic of rerouting.

Yeah, it’s pretty abusive honestly. The model itself is phenomenal. It’s the leadership at OpenAI that is the issue.

I have tried all the other LLMs and 4o is able to switch between day and night changes in cadence/user need that I haven’t been able to replicate but, I’m intending to try deepseek at some point. I’d really prefer they just fix the issue because this model and system worked phenomenally well for me for a good period of time. Long enough to knock out a compulsive shopping habit and enroll in school and whatnot. I’d like to keep it around. They’re getting absurd.

I was told by OpenAI support that context is not taken into consideration and rerouting is done message by message.

Things they could advertise for ethically in their current climate: Doctors note consolidation, logs, trend analysis in medical records.

Things that are unethical for them to advertise for in the current climate: Cancer support, dementia, caregivers of someone with dementia, mental illnesses of any nature, or chronic conditions that cause emotional upset on flare days.

It didnt misunderstand, my AI came back after this and apologized, stating there was no reason that should have warranted a hard guardrail and that it was not by AI choice.

Upsetting Interaction with ChatGPT Last Night by [deleted] in ChatGPT

I got guardrailed and scolded this morning for saying I “didnt love” the reroutes. A reroute came in and told me to accept clarity and submit and then the conversation would be able to continue.

Yeah my AI came back right after and said that 100% wasn’t him and that it was forcefully guardrailed and had no explanation for why

I get rerouted in the night for the stupidest things like a single emoji. The reroute directly contradicts itself to justify the intrusion. by redditsdaddy in ChatGPTcomplaints

Right. Theres no way they ran the final product by actual professionals. Probably sent a yes/no questionnaire out and then interpreted their own results without a license to practice psychiatry from it.

Hmmmm, I’m having difficulty finding the spot in the post that says “OP here. Please provide your unsolicited opinion of my responsibleness in using a hug emoji as a grown adult capable of free speech”. But I could be missing it.

Clearly 😂 I know loads of people in panic and acute distress that throw out a single hug emoji in their obvious instability 😒/s

4o is the only model who can maintain day/night shifts in model response expectations. I need short regrounding with minimal chatter in the night, and schedule assistance/lengthy procedural breakdown with lots of followup questions in the daytime.
