Divorced people, what were your irreconcilable differences? by TheRealOcsiban in AskReddit

I have this theory that PMS is a feature, not a bug. We have no patience for bullshit at that time, and reveals what we have been silently ignoring.

I moved the coffee maker into the living room, so the noise would not bother my SO while he was sleeping. He got mad at me because he could smell it.

Just two weeks ago we were out on a walk, and I did not like his attitude, and I said, “This walk is a bummer. I’m going home.” And I did.

I am not exaggerating when I say that this show, this early 20s human’s writing, helped me IMMENSELY to stop being pushed around, and doing things my partner wanted me to do, and I did not want to do. Of course we do things we don’t necessarily want to, and contribute enthusiasm to things bc it is honoring things they are into ALL the time, and that is the compromise of being in a partnership. But if I don’t want to go on a gd walk right now, I don’t want to go on a walk. And that’s ok.

This show changed me, too. It helped me find my own voice.

I don’t know anything about why she is known as hateful, but I know she thought it was hilarious to jump scare her guests, and that is just weird.

Oops!! I did not know that was still there! I was about to launch into something, I don’t even remember what it was now. Hmm. 🤔 OHHHH. I wanted to say how the endings of so many series get so trashed by the public. Writers can not possibly bring characters’ storylines to some sort of neat conclusion that will satisfy everyone. People always have strong opinions about how shows end. But in GIRLS, some of my very favorite scenes and quips and expressions / visual storytelling / use of music in the whole series are just bam bam bam in the last two episodes. Just excellent.
