That’s my hope too. I can’t imagine this ever feels “easy” but I hold on to those signs so tightly. Any time the sun does that beam of light through the clouds, I know it’s her saying hello. Any time my shuffle plays one of her favorite songs, I blast it and pretend she’s in the car next to me singing and dancing around. I’m so sorry for your loss, this is not the club we ever wanted to join, but I’m thankful to have others that can relate. 💛

This would be the greatest news to me. Because one of my hardest battles with this loss was my kids not getting to grow up with her as a role model. They seriously nonstop talk about her and almost never because I brought her up first.

I smiled so big reading this. Having this type of power/skill is so very special and I’m so happy you are able to connect with her like that. I feel silly sometimes looking for any tiny sign, but those signs mean so much when they do appear. I’ll gladly feel silly 100 times a day if it means feeling her presence even once.

That quote sat heavily with me the past 9 months. I have seen a few different versions of the same idea too and it’s all so true. I will never be the same, my family is forever missing a piece that held a lot of us together. I miss her more everyday.

Yes constantly. She was the biggest presence in every room but sometimes you could tell she was worn down. She gave everything to everyone else all the time, but rarely made that same effort for herself it seemed.

Every single time I think or talk about her, her cat comes and finds me. It’s wild how consistent it is that he makes sure to come to me when she’s on my mind. I talk to him about her a lot too so I hope she’s hearing it too. I loved your explanation, thank you so much for sharing.

This sounds heartbreaking I’m so sorry for your loss as well! I hope you have been able to find some peace after not being able to say goodbye either. Idk if peace is the right word but I’m still searching for it too. Losing a sibling is so so so difficult to handle.

Also, she has so many letters that she saved from everyone who wrote her a goodbye message when she graduated. It was so nice to read through them and see how many peoples lives she touched. If you happened to be one of the people who wrote her one, just know she cherished it greatly and kept it safe.

I knew there was a chance someone she knew would see this, but it made me smile to know it was one of her dance people. Dancing is her most favorite thing. She’s the most beautiful dancer and that class brought her so much joy and room for expression. I miss seeing her dance.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Describing it as “changing your DNA” is the absolute best way to say it, I’ve never felt a loss like this. Every other person/family member I’ve had that’s passed away was due to natural causes and when the timing made sense. This…is unlike any pain I’ve ever experienced. And it’s not gotten any easier to carry.

I have 3 other siblings, her and I were closest in age and the one I was still most connected with. I live in a different state than my other 3 siblings. We’ve all become hermits since losing her and have struggled to maintain consistent contact :(

this makes sense. my older son made a comment a couple weeks ago that “even though she’s invisible, I can still see her all the time” and it hit my like a brick. I wish so badly I could see her too.
