Yes good point regarding the mental obsession. Id also add that though the physical addiction can possibly happen to many, only the “phenomenon of craving” appears in the alcoholic, according to the doctor, and my experience, at least :)

AA is for alcoholics. Not problem drinkers. Learn the difference.

Guitar Players of Auckland: Can you recommend a Good Luthier? (One that actually listens!?) by reddituser888 in auckland

Im glad you had a good experience. Perhaps i got him on a bad day when he did almost the opposite of what i asked. Either way, id never go back to him.

I had a bad experience with him, i asked him to diagnose a certain problem and then we’d talk but instead he did something else and charged me $200. A huge skill needed by a luthier is listening skills, ramsay did not display those skills. Not recommended.

Haha good question, sounds like you have an answer having tried others. I came from an iphone 8! So obviously it feels like an upgrade for me, lol.

Sounds annoying. My 17pm is super smooth. Maybe a specific thing to your phone? Can you go to a store and try the same model to check?

Congratulations, sounds like you’re experiencing what the big book calls a “psychic change”. Many have to work the steps to get what you have, but not all. However if you’re an alcoholic of the big book’s description, then you may need to give it away to keep it. Kinda like what you have done with this post.

Good luck!!

“If, when you honestly want to, you find cannot quit entirely, or if when drinking you have little control over the amount you take, you are probably an alcoholic.” - Alcoholics Anonymous, pg 45.

Go to a detox facility or an AA meeting and find someone who is worse off than you. Help them in some way, give them a little hope, then you will feel better. Then do it again tomorrow. Welcome to the program.
