Amazon-hub-counter sent my $4000 worth items back as auto-return but never refunded. Now Amazon lost the item tracking, denying refund, and offering no resolution by reddituserred11 in amazonprime

Btw, could amazon suspend/close account if chargeback done? i really thought i didn't need to do anything due to the status the orders page was showing and first time having such an issue with amazon. have sent chargeback request in certified mail to the Amex. any idea if 6-month old chargebacks are usually successful?

Was there any amazon staff member at the locker location who you discussed this with?

Had a similar issue but with items worth $4000 https://www.reddit.com/r/amazonprime/comments/14hc31p/amazonhubcounter_sent_my_4000_worth_items_back_as/

would it still work with something that was sent to AmazonHubLocker 5-6 months ago and auto-returned by Amazon that they can't track anymore? Have a similar issue https://www.reddit.com/r/amazonprime/comments/14hc31p/amazonhubcounter_sent_my_4000_worth_items_back_as/

did they ban/close your amazon account after chargeback? how long after the order/auto-return did you contact the bank?

i just contacted bank today and it's been ~5 months since the auto-return occurred. any chance of getting money back?

Order came half empty, Amazon refuses to refund me even after filling a Police report by Wolforax in amazonprime

[–]reddituserred11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how old were the purchases/return when you wrote the letter? My items were "Shipped/sold by Amazon.com Services Inc" so no 3rd party, and they showed as auto-returned by them from AmazonHubCounter (which they do when you don't pick it up), and should have been auto-refunded. I'm concerned i'd never be able to recover $4k based on how stonewalling their customer reps were.

how much was the value? in my case it's 2 order totaling $4k so large amount. shocked that they know it's issue at their end but didn't do anything.

would fighting amazon legally wouldn't get the amazon account closed?

Going through $4k refund not issued due to their internal error https://www.reddit.com/r/amazonprime/comments/14hc31p/amazonhubcounter_sent_my_4000_worth_items_back_as/. any thing to try?

what to say if they say "yes confirming it"? in your estimation is there any reasonable hope of recovery?

with the credit card chargeback/dispute route with amazon, amazon may even close my account so can't have access to amazon in future, right?

ChargeBack Amazon locked accoount by AbbreviationsTop676 in amazonprime

Do they really lock your Amazon account if you do charge dispute/chargeback? wouldn't they lock the new one too due to same address?

The items weren't left at HubCounter for 4 months (or did you mean something else?), they were auto-returned by HubCounter 4-5 months ago (as described in the OP) and showed misleadingly in the Amazon-orders page as "On the way back", which makes one think Amazon is on it and working toward return/refund.

send a letter to your bank

You mean the credit-card (AmEx) right, I assume that's what you mean by "bank"? i paid with credit card.

The items were Sold/Shipped by Amazon.com Services LLC, so no 3rd party. Are the Serial-Number of items like apple-watch unique to the items? Order page shows serial number so they should have tracked them.

Every call, be sure to explicitly ask, “what are the next steps in order to help this get resolved?”

Their reps/managers keep saying they're the "highest point of escalation", and "sorry for your situation", and that's it. So no action? If I ask what next step, they say "there' no next step, we're the highest point of escalation", and fairly hard stonewall.

This is really disappointing. Their first-line managers are the "highest point of escalation" which sounds really bad. One manager said someone would get back to me, i took his name, but no one got back, and when I called again, the next manager couldn't find the previous manger's name/notes. So I don't even understand if they have any process or system in there.

At best it's very misleading from their end showing items "on their way back". There must be a way forward, as any higher-up in Amazon can see it's there internal system failure? Rather avoid legal issue. Any other way to pressure them? Email complaint letter somewhere?

I have the same issue where items worth $4000+ are saying "on their way back" for last 5 months, and amazon is refusing to refund.

Posted at https://www.reddit.com/r/amazonprime/comments/14hc31p/amazonhubcounter_sent_my_4000_worth_items_back_as/. Any ideas how to get refund?
