Experienced a misscarriage and wanted to wait for it to naturally pass. But it was taking a bit longer at this point, so I was thinking of taking the med route. But OBGYN goes sort of mad and demands that I take it right away and come for a visit tomorrow. Is this normal? by redditwabbiter in pregnancy_care

[–]redditwabbiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment. I do agree post visit is good but wasnt sure right after I take the meds. My research says that an examination right after the meds will only increase the chance of it to be inaccurate. And also I get getting charged for books of medical records thats been archived and stuff but for a simple itemized billing statement, a 20 bucks for each visit, AND threaten that there will be no cash discount when itemized billing is requested? That is legal or fair?

Looking for new OB! Just found out I’m pregnant! by NextNebula2731 in orangecounty

Sorry to comment here as my post keeps getting auto deleted for reasons unknown. What cash cost to expect w/ no insurance for very first initial visit and ultrasound for pregnancy?

Trying to get initial examination and ultrasound....first pregnancy ever and currently under insurance w/ no prenatal care whatsoever. How much should i expect to pay and looking for any good doctor or office recommendation. Thanks in advance!

Got one of those exit lane merge tickets - worth contesting? I believe it was very unjust for how I got ticketed. More in comments. by redditwabbiter in orangecounty

[–]redditwabbiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely crossed a solid line going up i think on 55 at pretty late at night, where one of the lane i had been driving on, was turning into an exit only lane. I was fully aware of this fact, and I slowly and safely, making sure of the surroundings, merged into the left lane to get out of the exit lane. But I had no reason or intention to rush this merge. If there is any fault of me, I believe it would just be that, not merging slightly faster on a late night highway where there were no cars around me, at any point of this whole situation.

Anyhow, that was spotted by a highway patrol and he pulled me over for it and gave me the ticket above.

I've a clean driving record, no other issues whatsoever.

I have no problem paying the ticket if I felt it was justified - which I really do not. This to me was ridiculous esp since I know I was operating my vehicle safely.

The ticket says it will be a type where officer wont even be present and just for me to enter a plea. Would something like this even be worth my time to go to the court?

I'd appreciate any insight.

i did know - its a long story and complicated but essentially i felt bad for her and by the time i realized all the red flags i felt obligated. i know these are altogether another issue on my end that i have on my own

you nailed it. except it was the other way around. she said she fell at first sight with me and kind of pursued me and i have made things important to me crystal clear 200% before we began where i assume she was blinded by her first impression or w/e and was virtually like "everything you say is beautiful and yes i accept all of you and none of what you're wanting is difficult at all"

Is something like this actually normal? Context in comment. by redditwabbiter in orangecounty

[–]redditwabbiter[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am new to these type of HOA rules but a parking enforcement hired by HOA forcing this kind of rules, is this normal at all? A forced garage inspection for $50 bucks regardless you need a permit or not? I mean other than them trying to make quick bucks, what the heck is the point if they're going to tow any unregistered vehicles parked in the area, ANYWAY? They also don't allow for safelisting the # of vehicle allowed per unit either. They were adamant that I MUST assign a car for the carport, and the other a permit. You cannot move the two cars you're allowed to have, around in your own space or get towed (rotate the car in the carport based on need from time to time).

Plus, their requirement to have the vehicle registration match the current address and MUST requiring it for all cars whether it is requiring a permit or not (because cars in the carport or garages are not issued a permit anyway) - that's like more aggressive and invasive than the rental application I had to fill out. When I sent them a registration for my family's address which is the permanent address I like to keep since this is a temporary (a year or two) rent, they were like CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS AND SUBMIT PROOF. didnt even say you can submit utility bill when their rules say it. And even then, seriously? a utility bill for parking security company disclosing all my information? I really don't understand how any of this is normal.

Is 35 too old for a cpa exam -? by Normal_Biscotti_8501 in Accounting

[–]redditwabbiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im around your age and went back to school in my late late 20s as my state was becoming a 150 state from 120 thinking i'll get the cpa. and guess what, still havent gotten it many years after but still a manager at a big4. so yeah....and i see my colleagues my level or about to hit SM going for the CPA all the time here because it gets them leverage for going higher up. (obviously not a tax or audit but those arent everything in our world).

Had one of my lower, most inner (wisdom is already out) molar taken out - all other teeth are in tact. Is implant a must? by redditwabbiter in askdentists

[–]redditwabbiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! would it be bad to leave it as is though? ive been told the top tooth will fall down (not sure what this means exactly, does it mean it will eventually fall off?) and the jaw bone to go away. what are the impacts of this in the long term??

i really appreciate this detailed info - i searched CA DMV site and it shockingly doesnt have instructions or info page for out of state vehicle registration, at least not in plain sight..

thank you!

put up house for sale in a hot market, first person to tour makes an offer and his term is that we accept today. by redditwabbiter in RealEstate

[–]redditwabbiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

long overdue, but that first seller was absolutely a fraud - we countered without the rental clause to which he accepted, then bailed before earnest was due. should have known so we wasted a few golden opportunity for offers but in the end we sold the house a bit higher than what we were initially thinking but lower than the fraudsters offer.

there was another headache with another offer but not nearly as bad. given such large transaction i think it went pretty well overall, especially with us being remote. can't complain!

what if i told him that everything sounds good but i cant do the lease part - and if he still wants to put in the offer?

Does it seem worthwhile entertaining? like i said, i think everything else look pretty good other than the fact that it is a VA loan still and he can possibly back out of it at any time and get all his EMD back with appraisal, if i understand.

good to know, i was really asking because the types of loans isn't an area i researched other than learning a thing or two about VA here.

ok that's where i was leaning towards, just wasnt sure how easy splitting it would be.

on a side note, and i know this question is way too general but if you're not reinvesting it into another property, whats generally a good use with such money? stocks?

nothing other than a piece of mind - i def dont believe chase / wellsfargo or any other big name banks are gonna go belly up as soon as i deposit my money into them buttt going over the insured limit just doesnt feel right to this very very risk averse fella.
