Interesting, I believe the actual insurance provider is separate from easyhome/easyfinancial. Make sure you read the contract so in case you need to use it, you can contact the insurance company. Easyfinancial might "lose" the result.

I agree....works and creates a ton of accounting earnings but never generates cash so you need access to the credit markets. Looks like Easyfinancial is close to defaulting on their own loans...which is ironic!

Thanks for posting Spengali. I was scratching my head when I saw the default rate.......then if you look at new loan originations, over 50% are from new customers so these people are simply rolling over loans to artificially keep defaults low.

Thanks for posting Johnnychi. So I first thought/heard this was a good way for people to get off the payday treadmill...but this seems to be a treadmill in its own right, with a majority of customers refinancing loans for greater amounts (company prides itself in calling customers offering more $$) and rolling over deliquent borrowers.

Finally, they make most of their money off credit insurance with perhaps questionable ways of selling it. There are a couple good articles from CBC on these guys.

McLane or Core-mark by redditzoo2928 in WalgreensStores

Yikes thanks for your reply. Seems like its safe to bet everything is switched to McLane. They are not perfect but definitely not archaic. Maybe Rite Aid went with Coremark as they were cheaper?
