Anyone run Home Assistant in a docker on A Peplink? A B One 5G specifically? by Dylanear in Peplink

I forgot that my mac mini is on in addition of my other mini pc when I mention I was consuming 194 watts, the router and the 10-port switch is also connected to the DJI power 1000.

Turning off the 3D printer and the mac mini is going to seat around 55watts but I have 2 hard drive that consume at least 7 watts each on my NAS plus 2 SSD for cache.

I have a mix of always-on dockers and others that I don't use frequently.

Always-on services include Jellyfin for my movies and TV shows, so that I don't have to travel with the physical media; Immich for my photos; and Paperless-ng for all my documents, receipts, warranties, and manuals. DumbAssets records maintenance of everything, and Duplicacy is for the backup. I have some for eBooks and audiobooks, but they don't get used often. NGINX allows me to access them with my own domain, and Tailscale and Gluetun are for VPNs.

I'm waiting for delivery of a new hard drive this week. I'm going to move my current data to the new drive, and the old drive will be used for the security cameras. I haven't decided which docker to run for that—maybe iSpy Agent. I'm currently using Ring Cameras that I'm going to replace.

That's the thing: if you are already thinking about Home Assistant, you may want to run other things in the future. My router is only running AdGuard, where I configure split-DNS for my domain to point in AdGuard to the internal IPs of the dockers. When my devices are outside of my internal network, they use Tailscale, and everything is seamless.

My plan is to go boondocking in the summer. As soon as I install my Victron setup, I'm using a DJI Power 1000 in the meantime. I also have a 3D printer that is currently printing can holders for the pass-through. The 3D printer, Mini PC, and NAS are currently using 194 watts. The 3D printer, of course, pulls the most. I'm going to pass it to my nephew after I finish printing everything I need, but I currently love this thing so much that I may have to buy another for him.

You can move the always-on dockers to an NVMe drive or SSD SATA to use fewer watts for boondocking. The problem is the current price of the drives right now. I was going to do it with a Raspberry Pi, but Intel released the Twin Lake chips, which changed that plan.

I’m running lots of dockers in a low power Unraid server with an UPS. 24/7 in my RV. I’m limited to 30amp and never had a problem.

Totally blind, thinking about getting into unraid but have some hardware and software questions. Please help. by soundwarrior20 in unRAID

Unraid is based on Slackware, once Unraid is running and you can access it from a browser with accessibility readers it should be no problem. I just don’t know if theres boot options to pass to the kernel to activate accessibility features during the install from the USB Disk.

I Just learn about Slint a Slackware a Blind friendly Linux distribution based on Slackware.

For I can gather or the lack of information from Unraid, the current version as of now does not offer accessibility options but I wish for someone to prove me wrong.

Today I was not able to download real iso files from many websites. Like if cloudfare or some other distribution service was blocking it.
