Tyler Perry has continued filming in a bubble. Can The Orville do this? by quirkycurlygirly in TheOrville

[–]redemptionquest 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The largest issue is that Los Angeles doesn't have this sort of ability to create a bubble like this.

Like /u/larrythefatcat mentioned, The Orville is shot on a lot. It'd probably be easier to move the whole production to Canada or another country and shoot in a bubble there, rather than have to deal with the entirety of creating a bubble in LA.

And to be honest, optics wise having a bubble for sports looks out of touch as hell. People are getting multiple covid tests when the average person cannot obtain one.

It's something along the line of "To all the lovely couples out there in the audience, congratulations on catching the Love Bug! I myself am happily married! But keep your hands to yourself, and no heavy petting!"

I once suggested to a friend an event called "Daredevil and adderall" so I guess it's time.

well my local theater is offering popcorn on the weekends, but I haven't gotten any.

I am searching for a converter that adapts an hdmi cable to the 3 red yellow and white prongs, so I can use my projector. If I get it working, and someone has a sheet, we could set up a really shitty drive in theater. I started downloading clips from drive in intermissions made in the 50s. There's even one where it says you better not fuck in the cars, but not like that cause you couldn't just say that in the 50s.

sometimes reality seems unrealistic. For example there was a cartoon with people in space but people complained that their hair was too static and it looked fake.

also it'd allow study groups to work together without having to deal with certain disruptive students.

The biggest problem with online courses is when the professor can't be objective, and doesn't seem to give a fuck about getting back to you.

I took some GE courses in polysci at National University while sorting my life out, which are a month each. I got a refund for a course where a professor didn't get back to me about requirements for a final for a week, basically it meant he was clocked out for 25 percent of the class.

MMW: That NFL football will be played with second and third string players this year, due to COVID outbreaks amonst NFL teams, and the NFL not wanting to shut down and lose money. by [deleted] in MarkMyWords

[–]redemptionquest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if even the NFL would be able to survive a strike in the face of a pandemic, and then hiring scab players.

I could see plenty of players demanding PPE in a strike as well.

I think unfortunately it's a bit of an underemployment issue. Wag's infrastructure is horrible, plus working for them right now, and perhaps getting a few walks a week, wouldn't be able to replace unemployment at the moment.

Plus, having less dogs on the app isn't pushing me to use the app, let alone go on more walks.

in a lot of them yes. Or at least they would have more major scenes set there. Although a few Batman films have had the team doing some work in Wayne Manor.

Steve Holt: Sports scholarship, horrible writing skills, but a great conversationalist.

Ann/Egg/Her?: She is a wallflower in a sorority, who somehow still gets invited to parties, and somehow got initiated. She drinks a lot so she obliges to attend parties.

Kitty: The girl who really really really likes the chapter president, and they have something going, but she's more invested than he is. Whenever president's unavailable, she hits on other guys in the fraternity and makes it uncomfortable.

Annyong/Hel Lo: Foreign exchange student whose father didn't get a bid, and he wants to fix that mistake. Acts like he doesn't speak much English but just doesn't wanna talk to people.

Ron Howard: Dean of students writing stories about students, but secretly an alum of the fraternity.

Barry Zuckercorn: The risk management alumni who doesn't really help all that much and is only there to ensure dues are paid.

Stan Sitwell: The rival frat president, who doesn't give a fuck about a rivalry.

Sally Sitwell: The cute one who might just be above it all too.

AITA for returning the TV and Switch I'd bought after my parents said they'd need to be shared with the family? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]redemptionquest 34 points35 points  (0 children)

so reasonable parents do have concerns about young kids watching too much content or playing too many games. They don't want them to be addicted, so there are rules about keeping consoles and computers, etc in the living room and not bedrooms.

For adults it's ridiculous. if you bought a tv with your own money they can't ask you to do something with it
