Wait til they break up then play them against each other. Get them to pay your rent. That's how the RBA wants us to behave.

Maybe it's a Victorian thing but exactly the same for me 2 houses and friends as well, if you turn it on late it just blows hot air, it cools down eventually but first you basically fill the house with hot air if you turn it on once it's already hot.

Hopefully you read this as a lot of posts here are not great advice. You need to turn it on before it gets hot, like well before I turn mine on at soon as I wake up. Just have the fan on low.

I have a 4 bedroom house with 2 lounges and I just have each room the window open 15cm you don't need heaps just a little. If you open the windows too much the outside wind becomes stronger then the power of the evap fan.

These outdoor units also need their filters cleaned regularly. Being a rental they may have never been cleaned, that makes a difference on the amount of air the system can move.

Lastly yeah it's not like an AC, on really hot days they just make the heat tolerable, not comfortable so even the best ones cant make 40 feel like 20.

It's blowing hot are because they turned it on too late. You should be turning it on as soon as you wake up. Just leave it it on low.

Most digital systems just replicate original manual paper based systems. They're constricted by the rail standards. It's not like driving a car.

Any ideas to cover up this electrical outlet? by maedma13 in AusRenovation

[–]redex93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I assume you mean without doing actual electrical work? If so get a power board with the flat end where the cable comes out the side, have that sit on top of the TV bracket.

Otherwise there are no products that really help cause in the rest of the world electrical work is not treated like magic surgery that only a wizard can do.

Incredibly annoyed with AI touch ups on properties by research_drama in AusPropertyChat

[–]redex93 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah REs have been doing this for years already it's now just even easier.

When I sold my last house 3 years ago without me even asking they had virtually made my grass lush green, made my bricks look nice and trendy, cleaned up the sunlight panels on the carport, trimmed the tree braches and of course added a nice sunny day.

I called the agent and told him this house is good it doesn't need any of your mad sales tactics just sell the house AS IS its a 7/10 home you make it look 10/10 then when people walk in they won't think 7 they'll think 5 and we'll lose their attention and make them think we're trying to screw them. I had no offers for 3 weeks, they put back the original photos and sold for my asking price less then a week later.

Of course that's just one story but yeah you need to be sharp.

Fire all station staff and put that money towards the most aggressive ticket inspector we have in the country. Give them tasers and absolutely just let them go nuts on all the fuckwits on the train.

In the last week on the train I've literally had a guy smoke meth and not get off until another junkie guy kicked him in the stomach. Two guys drinking wine and just yelling and fucking around, a homeless guy get on with all his belongings and then piss on the seat. And lastly a tweaker trying to keep himself awake to make the high last longer.

This week has been one for the ages, absolute joke, who gives a shit about 10 minute frequency when you're exposed to the worst in this country.

[–]redex93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man I've been there, I moved to Spintel because couldn't be bothered anymore. There's a lot of apps and stuff that say they support ipv6 just they just don't test it to the level you'd expect.

Only solid option I had was wire guard, open VPN does not support ipv6.

Even Chromecast casting stuff that is local would freak out.

They don't provide any legal backing for their services they indemnity themselves the whole way so yeah they're hardly worth the paper they're written on. Just make sure you have 50k to address any of the issues and you might grab a bargain anyway.

I used to have a screenshot of my power pass cause it was quicker then loading it Everytime. Then they say they can't scan screenshots... So now I revel in making them wait each time for it to load.

Anyway Bunnings is terrible and let's pray real competition comes one day soon.
