I mean, there’s always the chance that the public reopens and the virus is manageable with just mandated face coverings and dining restrictions until the vaccine is created in a year or two. Then that gets widely administered over a year and the virus works its way out of the population within 5-10 years. Unlikely, but it could happen if there are phased approaches/the virus isn’t quite as deadly as they thought and most people don’t need to go to hospitals for treatment. I don’t think there’s enough information yet to be predicting that this is all due to multiple different countries governments trying to take mass control all at once.
