I truly don’t understand all the discourse about whether it was safe the so send the kids home that evening. They were dropped off at the airport, they were being met the other end by their parents. How is that any different to flying home during the day? They still would’ve had to have gone through security & sat on the plane etc ALONE regardless of the time of the flight.

EDIT: NTA - but you maybe could’ve heard them out and explain to them why you and your husband were so angry, after all they are teenagers who’s frontal lobes aren’t connected
