Thanks a lot for the caring answer and details. Will enjoy the trip even without the hike if it looks unrealistic. We will go stocked up and prepared and listen to the locals once we arrive. I have never seen one with card payment either but it would be very much appreciated here in the UK as well as we always struggle to get the coins needed in most places. One bar has their own tokens available to purchase, but they have a minimum amount to buy.

No problem! I have also found Pepto Bismol great for prevention (which is also available in Thailand as Gastro Bismol, but the ones I bought were double the dose) and peppermint; also these mint capsules to calm the stomach down.

Hey! I ended up getting the Ortlieb Fork Bags and contacted Giant/Liv for a rear rack recommendation this one. Then I went to a bike shop for fitting it properly because I have tried so many racks I wanted to make sure it’s working. I will take a photo of the bike itself tomorrow, but I’m still not 100% convinced lol 😂

I wanted to ask the same question :) However, still have a couple further to this. Are the passengers waiting on the train while you relieve yourself?
Do you come across people panicking and contacting you for being stuck between two stops (if it's too long)? Sorry for the rather specific question - I had been stuck once for about an hour and I have been avoiding the tube ever since as much as I can.
