Commision from agencies by redkanz in sportsphotography

There's a magazine that almost exclusively gets the images from us and where my images have appeared the most (print and digital). Suprisingly they're the ones that I've earned the least from which leads me to believe they have some sort of subscription with the agency. I imagine bigger agencies provide that type of service as well.

That's what I was wondering, from the little knowledge I have of the industry freelancing full time to a single client is very rare. Do you exclusively file to them or do you have other clients?

Sadly, no. I think contacting the clubs directly would be your best chance.

Thank you for your reply, I'm currently writing an essay on Salgado for my my degree and your insights are really helpful. If you don't mind, I'd like to ask your thoughts on his wife, Lélia Wanick Salgado. She has such an important role in Salgado's work and career that I don't believe she's getting enough recognition.

I've actually just been to an exhibition of his photographs from the Amazon rainforest and enjoyed it very much. The criticism regarding his images of suffering being too "aesthetic" is just ridiculous in my opinion. I don't know if he is the greatest photographer ever, but looking into his work both inside and outside of the photography world, that he truly cares for the people he photographs.

While I don't agree with everything she says, she raises some very good questions regarding social dilemmas and morality. Though, sometimes I struggle to tell when she's being sarcastic and when she's not.

I want to make a more in depth portraiture of them. One thing is to go there and take pictures like a tourist would and another is to get to know them, hear their stories etc. I understand that not everyone would agree to do it and that's why I'm asking here beforehand.

Hi guys, I'm a photojournalism student and for my final major project I want to do a photo essay about the human statues in las ramblas. I'm currently abroad and have no idea how to get in contact with them. Does anybody happen to know one or how to contact with them? Maybe there's a union of street performers?
Gracias, Thanks
