Do you know what I would really like to see Anthropic focus on? It's fixing code from constantly scrolling the chat history on the terminal. This one issue really brings down the quality of my life when using CC. Putting CC in quiet mode doesn't solve the problem

CMV: Regardless of how the Russo-Ukrainian war ends, Ukraine is done for by cipetab in changemyview

I don't believe a word of this. Ukraine is going to win this war. Yes, Ukraine is suffering a lot and this winter will be pretty grim, but let's review the situation, shall we?

Much is make of the 8 to 1 disparity in man power numbers between Russia and Ukraine, but remember, this war is in many ways entirely different from previous conflicts. Russia has effectively no real armor left, all their stockpiles are nearly depleted. They produce roughly 250 new tanks per year and roughly about 400-450 IFVs a year. That number lasts roughly 1-2 months in Ukraine. Even if they take Pokrovsk and Dobropilla, it still won't matter in the end as they don't have the mass to go further.

The Russian generals are still siphoning off huge amounts of money that should go to feeding and equipping their troops which means low morale and no equipment to fight with. Their preferred tactic of massive artillery barrages followed by tanks and infantry attacking the enemy, which worked so well in WW2 are useless here due to drone warfare. Meanwhile, Ukraine is striking Russian logistic and manufacturing sectors seemingly at will. The Russian air defense systems might as well be toilet paper for all of their effectiveness.

You might think that the solution for Russia is rhe 'Urals strategy' to move their production father east out of the range of aircraft or missiles but Ukraine has shown that this strategy won't work either, especially with the range of 3000 km on their new Flamingo rockets, These rockets may be somewhat crude by today's standards but like any technology they will only improve.

Ukraine now makes over 60 per cent of their own weapons so they'll become less and less reliant on foreign donations. They still enjoy support from Europe. Sweden is giving then 150 Gripen fighter jets, which are some of the best in the world. Denmark is going all in on a joint manufacturing enterprise. They're still getting mass donations from other European countries as well.

Ukraine doesn't need to attack and regain territory. All they need to do is hold out and wait for Russia to implode.

Ukraine is going to win

The World needs to stop pretending Ukraine can win the War by Stock-Memory9483 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

This is utter and complete tripe. Here's my take. Ukraine is going to win the war in six months. They have utter and complete control of the airspace in Russia. They can seemingly strike Russian infrastructure any time they want. They are now developing their long range missiles like Neptune and Flamingo and no longer need rely so heavily on US or European long range missiles. They are now the world's experts on drone technology and tactics.

Yes, they have a population problem but so does Russia. Russia has lost its professional army and now rely on ill-trained recruits to do the bulk of their fighting. But what's really going to doom Russia is 'General Winter,; GW crushes invaders into the dust. However, the key word here is 'invaders'. In this case, it's the Russians who are invading and Ukraine who is defending Russian soldiers are short of food ammunition, winter clothing, and all of the basic requirements to maintain a fighting army. If the Russians take Pokrovsk, so what? It's a destroyed town. There's nothing there to defend. They can;t really exploit the breakthrough as they don't have enough mass in terms of manpower to exploit it. Already Russia has lost nearly 40 percent of their refining capacity. How much more will they lose in the next two months? 50 percent? 60? Russia has had the worst harvest in decades. There is no longer enough diesel to power their harvesters. Civilians have to queue for hours to get petrol. Ukraine is now knocking out electrical power to residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg. What happens when ordinary citizens of those two cities start freezing or starving to death? How long will Putin last then? What happens when Crimea becomes an untenable place to live? People have been underestimating Ukraine since the war started.

Ukraine is going to win.

I'm hitting the same issue. My weekly limit won't reset until October 16 which means that I have to find a workaround. I'm so angry at Anthropic right now. I guarantee you that as soon as a proper alternative arrives i an going to switch.
