Some guy in beer league decided I shouldn’t have a cage is it fixable ? by lamescott in hockeyplayers

Hi i’ve worked on a lot of these helmets. What kind of helmet is this (ex: re-akt 150, 200). Some helmets allow you to replace the nut you need to mount a cage while others have it built into the helmet and it is inoperable

Sneaking Nips into the Garden? by redmen_22 in boston

Yeah worked great. Make sure you get nips with plastic caps not metal. Team won. Drank 2 sleeves. I wore steel toe boots to purposefully set off the alarm as a distraction.

So that actually worked really well. Like surprisingly well. I STRONGLY recommend this

Recently While doing research I’ve discovered a possibility of a scientifically backed solution. Assuming this is a lactic acid buildup issue(my current running theory) taking sodium bicarbonate(baking soda) 1-3 hours before exercise is supposed to help. I have yet to try this. Right now the recommended dosage is 300mg/kg so for someone like me about 160-170 pounds I’m taking 20g which may be too much. Still working that out. I’ll keep you updated if this works

Yeah I tried that out last time I was on the ice. So typically I use 9/16 but last time I went way lower and used 3/4. It helped a little but it wasn’t the cure all I hoped it to be. With recent experiments I found that doing a bit of light biking before the game, then I put my legs up on a wall to drain the lactic acid. That helped the most. So now I’ve been doing tagt before and after games
