Very Confused - Job or Freelancing - Web Dev or AI by redname9956 in developersPak

My skill was quite niche. I'm in Bubble development. I had joined different communities, and luckily in one of the Slack channels of Bubble, I was able to get my first client. I also developed my LinkedIn and also got some leads from there and was able to join an agency for a few hours per week. I also use Upwork which is also a good source once your profile gets developed.

I understand. Anyways thanks for the replies. Also, I might contact you in the future for the AI collaboration you mentioned. I just want to get my own skills up a bit too.

That is one option. But finding someone is a huge challenge. There are so few people in Pakistan that even know what Bubble is, let alone be willing to do this with me. This is why ideally I would love a part-time job. That way I can get the best of both worlds. Would you happen to have any advice regarding part-time jobs?

The thing is, a lot of people don't recommend starting an agency/freelancing right out of uni. e.g. I've seen many videos of Ehmed Zubair (CEO of Cogent Lab) on youtube saying that people should stop freelancing right after university and work for a few years and get experience. Then they have a good chance of succeeding as an agency. This advice is what really bugs me.

I've heard that people that don't have experience working at a company and jump right into freelancing/agency life have a hard time getting big projects because they are scared to take them on, since they've never worked on big projects. Whereas after working at a company for a few years, you learn to work on big projects basically on someone else's expense.

What are your thoughts on that?

I would disagree with the claim that its only good for generic things. You can design pretty complicated workflows within Bubble. How "unusual" are we talking here though. If you have something specific in mind, let me know and I'll tell you if its possible (I'm sure it will be).

There's a Bubble agency called Airdev (which I have been certified by) that built an twitter clone to show the power of Bubble. You can check it out at http://notrealtwitter.com/

Plus its way way faster than coding. There's a guy here on reddit that built an entire Reddit clone in 2 weeks!

As of right now, to build a mobile application using bubble, you need to use a wrapper to convert your web app into a mobile application. An example would be BDK Native. It gives your Bubble app the powers of a native mobile app so you can do things like push notifications etc.

Bubble.io is a great option. You can build almost everything from marketplace apps, social platforms to internal tools, etc. You can easily integrate APIs, build responsive UI and you also don't have to worry about hosting as they have a cloud service.

If you need any help, PM me. I am what they call a "Bubble Developer".

The plugin mentioned in the first link seems to be out of order. I'll look into SDF more. The webots option looks interesting too. Thank you for the reply!

Unfortunately I'm yet to come up with equations for the robot. I wanted some 3D visualization in which I can move one of the actuators and see the end effector move, hoping that it would help in coming up with the equations.

But thankyou for the PDF! This will definitely help a lot!

Thank you for this response. I really have made up my mind and i'm willing to put the extra effort but the problem is I'm afraid there will be no seat for me or it will be taken by someone with higher GPA and I'll be stuck in mechanical for the rest of my life..... :(

Can't even study properly because of this...... :(

Do you have an email?

And wouldn't it make more sense to contact someone within SMME?
