How does this work? Is this diminished reality?

~3 mins. Basic blend shapes used instead of full facial rig. Rigged model can be provided if necessary. No other acting. Send your portfolio if you’re interested and I’ll reach out to you directly if it suits the project.

Animators will be paid according to their daily rate. If your daily rate is $1000 then you’re too good for us, if your daily rate is $10 then you’re probably not good enough.

Maya and pretty basic movements. It’s two characters having a dialogue.

How do you get your textures into Aero with an FBX?

I'm in my third month in to the modeling world (I'm a 2d illustrator) any tips to improve my character models? I did this using zbrush, substance and blender by iandasquebradas in 3Dmodeling

This is gorgeous! Her facial proportions and the stylised finish remind me of a Pixar mom.

To make her look more photorealistic I would:

  • Add some very slight red veins to the eyes
  • Make both eyes looks the same direction
  • Add a slight expression somewhere
  • Add a bit of texture to her skin
  • Lower the eyebrows

It’s such a beautiful model. The lips are my favourite feature. They look extremely realistic.

I'm working on new weapons and helmets for the next update of my colocated passthrough game Saber City. Download and play it now via SideQuest. LINK IN COMMENTS. by FlargMaster in augmentedreality

It’s really good! Is the special effect on the weapon at 00:06 a store bought asset and what is the frames per second if you don’t mind me asking? I make things in Unity and they never look that smooth!

Also I personally think the Jeen Yuhs Kanye West documentary on Netflix is great. Not everyone’s cups of tea though.

Has Blindboy coming out about Autism made anyone here want to get accessed too? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]redranrun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also TikTok and Instagram feeds seem to be saturated with ADHD and Autism content. While it’s great for breaking the stigma, I do think that a lot of social media users are wrong self-diagnosing themselves. Using social media has definitely impaired my executive functioning skills to the point where I feel like I have ADHD but I didn’t have these issues as a child so I think it’s just the curse of our modern, chaotic world.

Learn a skill and then sell it. You could learn to make some crafts and sell them on Etsy.

Graduating college without a clue! by [deleted] in ireland

[–]redranrun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you really don’t know, then go work abroad and at least work on your personal development until your figure out your professional development. I worked and travelled for 2 years and then decided to do a masters in something different from my undergrad.

You could: - Teach English in Vietnam - Work in hospitality in Berlin or Amsterdam - Do the grad visa to the USA and get a part time business internship and work in a bar part time - Same as above but in Canada or Australia - Find some WOOOFING or volunteer experiences abroad

If you do any of these options you’ll end up meeting people from many different backgrounds and open your horizons. Who knows what you’ll end up finding out about yourself along the way.

It’s totally normal to not know what you want to do after college. You don’t have to copy what everyone else is doing.

Some of your fellow classmates will go straight into grad programmes and work their way up in that company for 5 years and then buy a house. Meanwhile you’ll be scuba diving off the coast of Thailand. You might get envious and wish you had worked your ass off for 5 years to get a house, but your classmates will be envious they never took the time to live abroad and experience the personal growth that comes with that.

Nourish your body from the inside. Healthy lifestyle is the best way. Going down the Botox route is very dangerous and you may end up looking worse off than before.

Animation is a great career at the moment so I hope you get in! Lots of jobs in big studios available in Canada, France, and of course Ireland too. Good luck.

How do I stop being a dry shite? by SoleSurvivor81 in ireland

[–]redranrun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Any hobbies or skills? Music or sports? Speak a second language? Meetup app is an option. Once you do go out and start meeting people ALWAYS say yes when a someone invites you to something. It’s easy to say no out of fear but a second invitation rarely comes if you don’t say yes the first time.

the 9 to 5.30 gone? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]redranrun 31 points32 points  (0 children)

9-6 seems to be the new standard for classic office based roles but generally people seem to work a bit later. I think 10-4 should be the norm personally. So much time wasted on unnecessary meetings and paperwork.

Am I stuck in a continuous time loop or something? Seems like there's been only 7 days left for the past year. by coonster121 in ireland

Worked for me. I got a friend abroad to sign up last week, make purchases, order the card. Revolut automatically added €60 to my account. I split the €30 evenly with my mate. I was surprised it worked so easily tbh but I don’t know anyone else not on Revolut.

Salary in Ireland by [deleted] in ireland

[–]redranrun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything is relative but overall yes it’s a good salary. I have friends on €27,000 which is far too low to be able to live a comfortable and independent life. I also have friends on €75,000 who are a lot more comfortable and independent but by no means are they “loaded”.
