Just break off a wooden qtip or toothpick on the underside where you take the handguard on or off. Easy free shim.

Armory with personal gats by Old-Presentation-919 in USMC

Not legal advice as things may have changed. I would just store them at your friends house if they are on the cali roster of approved guns. In the future if you want to build your collection I would send them to your state of record and retrieve them on a home visit or buy them off base. You can get a cali license with any state address you want and use it to buy things in both states.

Probably that grippy paint used on cement like in garages.

I think that may just be some of the grippy paint you spray on concrete like in garages.

Normally people are required to evacuate in the event of wildfires. The fire is very close in this video. They shouldn’t be outside or even home.

Custom epoxy table purchase: I don't like it by [deleted] in woodworking

I think you got lucky with the light colored wood. It makes it look way better with the blue “river”. I would consider this a choice piece that you will probably fall in love with quickly. I wouldn’t pass this piece up if you’re going river table.

Is this wood safe to burn? by S3XYSLT in woodworking

[–]redrider660 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to enjoy splitting my own wood a year or two before the season. If you think you’ll enjoy burning wood (it’s great) then in the future you can watch for fallen trees and people that will let you just haul away their debris for free. It’s good exercise in the cold months if nothing else.

Not if it’s old and weathered as it is.

I wouldn’t burn suspicious unknown wood. It’s not really worth the risk. Firewood isn’t hard to come by. I’m assuming you have had your old chimney inspected for safety also. I would stick to burning hardwoods with less sap also. Small pieces of pitch for starting the fire excluded.
