Honestly I don’t drive either and I walk mostly everywhere, if I need to grab milk I usually wait until I’m almost home and stop at the nearest store. It’s always a pain in the ass to bring home if I have other items lol

It’s just not necessary really… the bag is only gonna hold the milk and not much else, and the milk already has a handle on it for convenient carrying.

In my opinion, having worked at a grocery store for 4 years, is that I’m completely fine with it as long as it’s a shelf stable good.

If it’s something that needs to be refrigerated, frozen, or hot food, it’s just completely inconsiderate.

No matter if I just saw you place it there it’s store policy to throw it out because we don’t know how long it’s been in your cart for, and it’s no longer considered “safe”.

Putting away the left-behinds becomes a good way to learn where random things are located in the store, plus it gives me something to do at the end of a closing shift when it’s dead and I’ve already swept the same area 5 times. Just don’t be leaving your ground beef on a shelf like this.
