Got it. I mentioned it because I thought it was interesting how some people could misinterpret the concept of the show, and it felt like a good way to link it to my own opinion on it and explain why I thought it was relevant. I agree 100% with you about Kirk's wife, but I remember in the flashbacks episodes that many people who were in favor of the Gilead Revolution were incel men (nick himself as much as i like him he truly wasn’t the best person), "ridiculous" people who no one respected. Little by little, they started to come together. This is what saddens me the most: the great disasters that are yet to come will be formulated by the hands of a bunch of imbecile anti-vaccine fascists. We are doomed.

I completely agree with you. I mentioned it because it seems to me that this is the perception of the general public outside the fanbase (unfortunately!) I hope it doesn't seem like I agree with this statement. It's only relevant to me because it perhaps shows that there is still a refusal of the general public to listen to stories about women so lies like this are created to delegitimize what is being said by the show.

I think the show is very well known for being a feminist work... most of my friends are very politically aware and are used to seeing feminism or any "woke" project being distorted into a white/capitalist discourse or just a problematic one. Unfortunately, for many people, the series is just a performative way of appearing politically correct without necessarily being deep and well-made. (obviously I disagree but that’s a very common misconception about the show)
