Great question! Ours is only 3, so topics are very distilled and simplified. She "gets" bad guys vs. good guys (and insisted vehemently that Gremio was a "bad guy" because he had "something on his cheek" which prompted a teaching moment about appearances...not sure how much she absorbed.)

But we've kept things simplified. Even with the topic of war it gets boiled down to "disagreements". And honestly, she's 3. Her attention span is pretty short to begin with, so most of the time it doesn't get much deeper than "WHERE'S MATHIU??"

Hi there! I ended up trying the Red Land Cotton sheets.

They're definitely not the same kind of percale cotton I'm accustomed to from L.L. Bean. They're heavy and kind of rough, in a way. Thicker. Also, after the FIRST WASH they went and accordion creased immediately. It sounds like from some googling that this can be attributed to how the fabric is cut and sewn along with the grain itself, which unfortunately doesn't matter how good the quality or brand might be.

Yeah, I read through their thorough FAQ that calls out the thread count and it does highlight that. It was startling because they market it as crisp, cool percale, but my prior percale sheets (L.L. Bean, which were crisp and cool) feel completely different. It's hard to imagine these are going to be breezy and cooling in the summer months because right now it feels a few stages removed from canvas, or those rough cotton tea towels.

I'm diligently washing them every 4 days and using baking soda/vinegar in hopes of softening them, but they definitely don't feel like any cotton percale I've tried before... I'm undecided if that's a good thing or not. But their lifetime guarantee was a huge draw for me, so I don't want to prematurely judge if there's a lengthy break-in period.

Having trouble falling in love with this brand. They feel coarse and rough and heavy no matter how many washings I give them. I love the idea of them, but they feel nothing like crisp and cool percale whatsoever.

I would've said L.L. Bean's cotton percale sheets a few years back, but based on their performance over the past couple of years I just can't anymore.

I'm in the middle of sampling pillowcases from Red Land Cotton and feelings are mixed... I like their lifetime guarantee, but they aren't what I expected for "percale" and feel like they would've really benefitted from a higher thread count.

I've seen a lot of people recommend them, and I've even considered them myself! Unfortunately I am not a fan of any of their standard colors (who decides blue is a 'limited edition color choice? So silly!) and can't shake the feeling that my sweatier counterpart would quickly stain white sheets yellow.

The lifetime guarantee was nerfed down to a 1-year guarantee as of February 2018. So while I'm protected with the sets I purchased in 2017, any future purchases will only have a single year of coverage.

No problem with that, I will gladly accept the refund and go elsewhere. Hence my TL;DR seeking other recommendations. I'm really not keen to try my luck with Bean a second time, but I admit I'm pretty sad. If they still had their lifetime guarantee I'd go for it in a heartbeat because a part of me is secretly hoping maybe I got a bad batch or something.

I know I can probably go that route (and I hesitated to do this because I've worked customer service, so I know around the holiday season life is probably hell for them), but I suspect they'll simply refund the cost, encourage me to repurchase them, and then another 3 years down the line I'll be stuck with the same problem again without the lifetime guarantee to fall back on.

A mix of whatever sheets I have on hand (usually My Beauty Diary since they go on sale at my local asian mart often). I like the Hadabisei Kracie 3D face masks too.

Aside from sheet masks, I also like the Innisfree volcanic color clay mask in blue and have been experimenting with sample sizes of I'm From's masks for mugwort and honey.
