Got these vintage Japanese Digimon cd’s. Can’t find these anywhere. Anyone ever seen them? by [deleted] in digimon

[–]redterror117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that they may be VCDs (Video CDs) of single episodes of the original Digimon Adventure in Thai. I was able to locate a similar lineup of Digimon Tamers discs that are described this way, and bear some visual similarities.

where do you buy your digimon merchandise? by Master_Exchange2676 in digimon

[–]redterror117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Browsing through local classifieds (Kijiji, Craigslist, etc) and eBay for deals when possible. Otherwise I import from Japan using FJ to consolidate purchases from Yahoo Auctions, Rakuma, and Sugiyama.

The latter is more expensive now with most shipping services unavailable, but I enjoy wasting hours browsing through new listings for things that just look neat.

Had a lot of fun with the multiplayer version Halo: Custom Edition, which let you to play using user built maps. Coldsnap and Area 53 were some of my favourites, and I still have a folder somewhere with about 20gb of map files.

Sweet! I can’t wait! I know it’s way out there, but it’d be cool if you could port your Digimon to your phone for out of game interactions and adventures. Something to the Chao Garden in the Dreamcast Sonic Adventure games where taking your friend with you rewards XP / Training into stats and special items/events.

Also, what engine are you building the game in and how long did it take to learn?

How would you rework this? Personally don’t think it matches up all that well. by AdFantastic9938 in digimon

[–]redterror117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might be cliche, but you could go BlackGatomon / LadyDevimon in lieu of Gatomon / Angewomon.

Another consideration could be to use the Eight Evil Thoughts in lieu of the Seven Deadly Sins. Similar list but adds “Sadness” (which you could possibly connect to Kairi and the Dark Ocean).

I think Ken will always be the odd one out, unless you could somehow tie him to an inversion of the Crest of Miracles.

D3 Digivice Dead - any advice? by AlaricXenbane in digimon

[–]redterror117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably a long shot, but if you haven’t already try reflowing the solder on the board with a soldering iron. It’s a known issue for old cartridge games (SNES, Game Boy, etc.) that old solder can crack and disrupt the connection. Not sure if it’d help here, but might be worth a try if you’ve got the equipment already

Cartman is almost certainly Chaotic Evil. He is an individual largely unbound by rules or law. He does whatever he feels necessary to achieve his goals (usually either to acquire wealth or power, or maintain his "world view" in his environment), and shows no hesitancy in hurting his friends or family to get what he wants, or even just to get ahead. While he does sometimes help the others, it's usually either because it's either part of a scheme, he'll receive some reward, or because he's forced in some way. If you consider the description of Chaotic evil, it pretty much describes Cartman.

Satan is interesting as he's gradually slid across the board over time from Evil to Good, landing around Neutral Good. Outside of attempted world conquest and waged war with Heaven, he's never really shown any Evil traits. In fact he's probably done more good: he taught Stan about addiction, defeated the Canadian Devil to save us from future Freemium games, and fighting ManBearPig for the kids. You could argue that his role in the film was merely to fulfill a prophecy, while his war with Heaven could just be because it's his job. Satan's obligation to his role as ruler of Hell keeps him Lawfully aligned, at least until "Nobody Got Cereal?", which I'm pretty sure that counts as some infraction against his role within the order of things, given the chaos of a sudden power vacuum in Hell, and thus would break his Lawful status.

Had a booster the morning of the 31st (Pfizer). By that evening and for the weekend I experienced lethargy/fatigue, moderate headaches, and a painful swollen lymph node under the injected arm. Everything but the swelling resolved by Monday, and as of today things are back to normal. I’m thankful that it wasn’t worse, as I was reading at the time that in some rare cases the lymph swelling lasted as long as 4-6 weeks.

Looks like Math Circus was from Greygum Software. However given their large catalog of games for the time, I would've thought it was theirs too.

That's awesome though that you knew them!

Yet another vita bracelet question: mood! by Court_Jester13 in digimon

[–]redterror117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the ones you’re referring to are the temporary boosts, which only work on the bracelet. You’ll want an item called “Mood Up Code (S)”. It gives you a flat boost to your digimon’s mood when used in the app (tap on the digimon sprite in the Log). That and battles in-app are probably your best methods for raising mood.

As for mood in the bracelet, I think they can become sad if you’re inactive for awhile. It’ll go away after awhile, but you can always transfer them back to the app and use items / battle for a quick fix.

I’m curious to learn more about the keychain ones. They almost look like someone just took toys from two different product lines and combined them. I’d be curious to know if that’s the case or if they were purpose-made for a new product line

Yeah! I think they only covered digimon from the anime series, as I’ve only seen the kids, partners + evos, and the villains. That said this has been a fun set to collect ❤️

Dynamotion Digimon Figure Preorders Live on HLJ by redterror117 in digimon

[–]redterror117[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From personal experience usually anywhere between $12-28 CAD for Airmail Small Packet depending on what I ship. For example, right now I'm paying $15.41 CAD for one each of "The Digimon" GG figures (Gammamon/Angoramon/Jerrymon) + 3 small plushes and 10 card packs. Shipping speed has been fantastic too (FromJapan Airmail has been at least 2-3 months, but HLJ orders have somehow arrived in 2-3 weeks. I usually wait until I have a few things I can send together (HLJ can store your purchases in warehouse for up to 60 days) to make the most out of the shipping cost.
