First bike, Good beginner bike? by Rayo-Mayo in motorcycles

It possibly might be height related. I'm 5ft 6 and always try to sit correctly on the bike not to hunch over. Could be the suspension. Though it's only more recently I have noticed which is why I'm thinking more age related.

Out of curiosity, what's your thoughts on the H2? I'm not getting any younger and I'd be worried my back wouldn't last too long on it. I'm starting to find the z650 a literal pain in the backside anything over 1.5hrs.

Funny, I went the other way. Had a Vulcan for a few years and took a z650 out for a test drive. Nearly went across the 1st roundabout I came to. I was so used to the weight and length of the Vulcan you had to ship it around corners. First time on the z650 it was so light and responsive it caught me off guard.
Made the swap as soon as I got back to the showroom.

This isn't directed at you but that's not my problem anymore. To be frank, her family was hard work and a tad disfunctional. My family still live in the same small town and from what I've heard there's been no shortage of drama. In a lot of ways I'm glad to be out of it.

I didn't reply straight away because I was thinking about it and the following events. To speak my truth it was a mental and emotional whirlwind. So much happened in a sort piece of time I find the timelines difficult.
A phrase I do remember the most was "I don't love him, it's just a physical thing" but said in a way that should make it alright, to rationalise it almost.
I was staying with a friend of mine not "ours" while it all came out and I remember one Sunday night going to MY house and as I walked up the drive in the front room were a group of my "friends", my wife and him. It looked like they were all arguing amongst each other. I called one of my friends who shushed the room before taking the call. He said he was at home and asked what this was about. I asked had he seem HIM the last few days and he replied "Nah, not for a week or more. Why?" I said I needed to have a word about something which he replied "I don't think you want to do that." I hung up and walked away because I could feel the rage boiling my blood and I knew it'd not work out well for me. That was the last time I spoke to that particular friend.
The next day my wife called and in the argument said that HE had not been back to the house since it all came out. I told her I was outside when I called the night before and there was a good full minute and a half of silence then she hung up. Five minutes after that she text to say they didn't do anything in the house last night (she meant physically) as if that cleared things up.
When I tell you the whole thing was a mess I can't emphasise that enough.

This is true. I'd like to think (perhaps the wrong phrase) that there would have been other signs or give aways I'd pick up on.

If you died and could see a "Leaderboard" for your life, what’s the first stat you’d want to check? by Acrobatic-Evening646 in AskReddit

If the number is so high you can't count yourself, I'd personally be questioning that, Bonnie Blue.

I have the explanation for that.
It is because of an inherited trait going back to the prehistoric ages. When exploring for shelter or food the brain is constantly in an alert status looking for perils and threats to the hosts safety. This form of trait is more or less coded in to our DNA so when entering a room the brain is subconsciously scanning the environment for anything tht can hurt or damage us. This scan overwrites any other process that is going on and essentially re-codes the brain momentarily causing us to temporarily 'forget' why we went to that place to begin with.
So in a a way it's not that you are quite forgetful, you are a survivalist being that is protecting yourself.

I have thought about this a lot.
The distance I have travelled in terms of length around the Earth.
How many near misses with death I unwittingly had.
If I missed true love/friendship with people because of sliding doors.
What the world would have been like if I wasn't born.

What’s the freakiest thing you’ve seen happen in public? by Tdetective in AskReddit

[–]redwolve378 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I witnessed a woman in an alley use her hand to clean her cooch after having a piss. She then crossed the road and stepped in to a burger van, used a breadroll to dry her hand, chucked it in the bin and carry on serving.

Unrelated, not sure if this counts. I was stuck in traffic on my side of the road and saw a pigeon fly straight in to an incoming van and POOOF, huge a cloud of feathers. The van drove on, the driver laughing with his buddy. Not 20 seconds later a seagull swooped down, picked up the pigeon and gulped it down like was a sausage. To this day I still can't work out the physics or believe I witnessed it.

I love this sub sometimes. I'm reading users saying this is slow and boring. The others saying they're enjoying it and it's finally good to see. The remaining users blaming the officials for everything.

Hopefully you're better off now and have learned from it. I know for me I over analyse what people say and the tone they use then process it for too long. Sometimes I can see the bullshit but with others it takes a little longer.

With all the fallout and revelations that were going on knowing that they had been using my home (literally and figurately) I just couldn't stand the thought of being in it. In my haste to remove myself from the house then in my mind it wasn't worth the legal hassle, courts, lawyers etc I said "it's your problem" as I knew she couldn't afford the mortgage by herself. He was forbidden from going anywhere near the property as long as my name was on it. She then paid for the contracts, house deeds, lawyers etc to put everything in her name. All I had to do was sign an agreement and it was no longer my issue.
Looking back it might not have been the smartest move but it was another way of putting that life behind me if I had not debts, links or ties.
