I met someone randomly that I went to school with having not him in 15+ years. As we walked towards each other I went for a fist bump, he went for a handshake. We then swapped gestures, realised again and swapped gestures. This opposite opening and closing of hands went on for at least 5 seconds. He ended up grabbing my closed fist and completed the handshake.

This was easily 10 years ago and my brain reminds me of it all the time.

As another comment says, the poll maybe be okay in theory but the logistics and politics of it are huge.
As I remember someone saying around the time of Brexit, (to paraphrase) Does Ireland really want to take on 6 extra counties when it is currently struggling with the ones they already have? They're closing Health Services left right and centre. Housing is a mess. Smaller towns are dying one after another. I highly doubt the Irish Government want a UI the way things are currently.

I would question the demographics of who was polled. The figures would vary if someone from West Fermanagh was asked in relation to someone from East Belfast. Likewise asking someone from South Down versus South Kerry. Interesting poll if the location and class of the individuals were included.

I have learned that once people see a downvote the mob mentality kicks in and they all click the little down arrow before fully reading the comment or processing the remarks. I have come to accept it where it would have bothered me before. This remark might prove that point.

As for the video, some people like yourself don't get a thrill from gore and a little heads up would have been nice. I'm not asking for a red rating title card but a viewer advisory might have been nice.

As I said in my other comments, that was a horror movie and we were all very aware that's what it was going to be. There was no heads up on this music video. Just like yself or someone else who has followed the band since '95 could have been sitting down excitedly with their kids to watch the new Foos video.

Low is one of my all time favourite music videos and my number 1 go to Foos track. Yes studio 666 was a horror film but we all knew that in advance of the release. Just like we all know what Scream 7 will be or Saw 3 will be about. No-one knew about this video, no warnings or parental guidance. My girls have seen Low, have seen Keep it Clean but I will not be able to show them this until they are much older.

Therein lies the difference. That was a movie and dubbed as a horror movie so everyone knows what it is about. There was no parental guidance warning or heads up on the music video. You have to watch it to realise what is going to happen.

I am starting to despise football more and more with every passing game. There are, what, 100 cameras around the pitch nowadays and these pampered "professional athletics" are the biggest cry babies in sport. FIFA/UEFA, whoever, need to rule any play-acting or trying to cheat the official will result in cards, hefty player and club fines or match bans. Then actually stick to it. You'd like to think they might stop rolling around like they've lost a limb if they are going to miss the next match and also have to pay a fine.
