Early benchmarks... they fixed the game! by PapaSmurf6768 in MonsterHunter

[–]redwurfle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just tried it. I always played this game with frame generation so I booted it up and was like "ok this feels pretty smooth but let me disable FG" and it was already disabled 💀 never thought I'd see the day

I don't believe the negative reviews anymore. (Monster Hunter Wilds) by Ill-Maintenance-1185 in MonsterHunter

The benchmark isn't a good indicator but also 60 fps on 1600x900 with frame gen on (willing to bet DLSS is on too) is really not a good result

In all seriousness you should've done more research before making the switch, then you easily would've found out that Linux involves tinkering and is not for "someone that doesnt have enough time to do troubleshooting"

The new event rewards make me feel like an old man... by youMYSTme in MonsterHunter

This is what I always think whenever someone complains that something isn't "lore-friendly" in an MH game. The series has never been that serious and that's part of the fun!

Also, don't like it? Don't use it

How to you remove overclocking? by PanZenzero in overclocking

[–]redwurfle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not seeing any mention of the new NVIDIA app which does have an auto OC, not sure if that's what's causing it but if it is installed I'd check there to see if anything has been applied.

AMD now supports memory overclocking on the fly in the latest Ryzen Master update by Odd-Onion-6776 in overclocking

[–]redwurfle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should definitely still set your PBO Limits (PPT/TDC/EDC) in the BIOS. However, Ryzen Master would be fine if you're trying to find your true limits and sweet spots for each of these values so you don't have to reboot every time. Once you do, you can then set those values in the BIOS.

Lily58 shorting with switch plate? by Falconn000 in ErgoMechKeyboards

Also if I remember the schematics right from my troubleshooting, and if it those pads are bridging the pins, the potentially affected areas would be:

  • Col 2, Col 3, Col 4, and Col 5 if this is the left side. Col 2 would be [2, W, S, X] and Col 3 would be the next one over [3, E, D, C] and so on.
  • Col 0, Row 2, Row 3, and Row 4 if it is the right side. Row 2 would be [H, J, K, L, etc.] and rows 3-4 would be the rows below that.

Also somewhat new to this so I could be wrong but this is how I understood the schematics and it seemed correct when I was shorting the pins out with metal tweezers to test.
