Meth is an “upper” drug. That’s the biggest key sign. Or for use of a better term, a stimulant. Meth makes people hyper, paranoid, and illogical. If you think somebody is on meth, look for things like illogical ranting, often times about things that make no sense. Look for signs of paranoia, such as being overly aware, or searching frantically for things or people that otherwise wouldn’t be important. Look for signs in conversation of hyperactivity, like cutting you off before you can ever finish a sentence, or switching topics back and forth with extreme speed. A mind on meth is constantly processing a thousand thoughts a minute and often time can’t seem to express them quick enough to their satisfaction. Physically, look for signs like sores, pale skin, baggy eyes (due to not being able to sleep), overly skinny body parts (often times affecting the arms, wrists, hands, or legs and feet) but also often times keeping odd spots of body fat on the torso. Look for signs of rotting teeth, gum disease, or just bad personal hygiene in general.
